Yoshi's Island is an island in the Mario and Yoshi universes. It is also the name and location of several stages in the Super Smash Bros. series; each incarnation has showed it as being drastically different from past versions.
Two versions of the island have been shown: a realistic version and a storybook-like version. The stages Yoshi's Island from Super Smash Bros. and Yoshi's Story from Super Smash Bros. Melee are set in the book form, while Yoshi's Island from Super Smash Bros. Melee and Yoshi's Island from Super Smash Bros. Brawl are both given the more realistic setting.
