Wrecking Crew is a new stage introduced in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Wii U and returns in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, based on the NES title of the same name. Despite originating from the Mario series, this stage is classified as being part of the Wrecking Crew series.

Design

Unlike most stages based off retro games, its design has been given a 3D overhaul, rather than trying to imitate NES graphics. Like the original game, players can get trapped under barrels, preventing them from moving for a while. Bombs and the breakable walls and ladders also appear. If someone breaks all the walls in the stage, a part of it will fall down, it will not give damage to the opponents, if someone is below a barrel while the part is falling down, they will hide in it.
