Witch Time is Bayonetta's Down Special Move. Bayonetta projects a small purple field, and anyone that attacks he in this state is slowed down for a time, until the clock hand makes a full rotation.

Overview

It is activated when the opponent attacks Bayonetta during the animation. The opponent will be slowed down for longer the higher their damage is. If the move is overused, the slow down will be shortened.

While slowed down, opponents will sustain any launch and damage they accumulate; upon time going back to normal, all the launch they accumulated will take effect and begin to launch their momentum forwards.

If the attack is activated late, Bat Within will be used instead. This reduces the damage of the enemy attack and allows Bayonetta to 'warp' left or right.
