Hiya, you might not know me, I drift around blogs and such from time to time. But that's not what I wanted to talk about.

So as we all know, Mewtwo will be a downloadable fighter in the future. It doesn't necessarily mean other characters will have that luxury, although it still doesn't hurt to come up with some ideas. I've seen a couple of blogs already talking about their hopes for which DLC characters should come, but I'm going to go into a little more detail here.

So, rather than just listing a bunch of characters, I’m gonna elaborate on the moves and such they come with as well (pretty much the specials and Final Smash, everything else is optional). For this blog, I’ll go over one character, might do another in the future as a part of a small blog series, but feel free to do a similar idea in your own blog/comment down below. Opinions would be nice to try and develop the idea a bit more, but otherwise tell me if you enjoy the idea.

So I'll go ahead and start off.

Krystal[]

Krystal8

With Wolf gone, Star Fox has went down to two representatives with a very similar set of moves. With Krystal added, we all know there'd be some great originality in her abilities as well as a staff wielder on the roster. I see nothing but pros when considering her for a new fighter (another female, original moves, etc).

Her moves would include the various abilities Fox had obtained for her staff in the Star Fox Adventures game.

Battle entrance: Unlike Fox or Falco who would jump out of an Arwing as they appear on stage, Krystal could fly in on a Cloud Runner (the Pterodactyl dinosaurs) or her personal spacecraft the Cloud Runner (yes its the same name).

Neutral Special: Fire Blaster- This would work similar to Palutena's Auto-reticle, firing three projectiles at a time.

Side Special: Ice Blaster- Think about it like Bowser/Charizard's flamethrower, only with ice. Rather than freezing the opponent, this move would do gradual ice damage (there is a chance, however, that the opponent will be frozen if close to the tip of the staff upon starting usage) and the ice dies down over prolonged usage. She can walk forward and backwards while doing this as well as jump once into the air.

Up Special: Rocket Boost- Even though this move will only let her rise straight up, just like in Star Fox Adventures, you could use it to fly up a great distance.

Tricky Trophy

Tricky the young Earthwalker Prince

Down Special: Fetch! (or Tricky)- Now, I bet you were expecting the Ground Quake ability to take this spot (I think it could work for a down smash attack instead), but this idea just came to me as a fun thing. So for this move, Krystal would pull out a red ball with yellow stars (own'd by the young Earthwalker of course) and throw it in the direction she's facing. Tricky would then appear next to her and go fetch the ball, tackling any opponent in the way (haven't decided on him returning to her afterward or him just disappearing). If the ball gets thrown off the edge of the stage, Tricky will go after it, but you won't be able to call him back for a while. If he gets hit while trying to retrieve his ball (or countered), you won't be able to call him back for a while.

Alternate/Custom Down: I've also considered the barrier Krystal's staff is able to create as well, which would work to absorb certain projectiles rather than reflecting them like Fox's or Falco's (it would work more like Ness's PSI Barrier.)

Final Smash: Landmaster!- That's the last thing we need; luckily I have two other ideas that could work.

Cloud Runner- This'll be quite dissatisfying to Falco as he's been grounded in Smash. She could have a Final Smash like Zero Suit Samus and fire lasers off screen from her ship. The difference would be that Krystal can bombard the stage with a series of twin laser blasts to cause gradual damage (rather than 4 beams of energy), or try to lock onto opponents with a Charged up shot (strong attack for the KOs). Just like Samus (and Snake, since he started it) she'll have a limit on time and how much she can fire.

Demon/Devil Launcher- Another one that Falco won't like. This one's pretty similar to the first, except takes inspiration from Star Fox Assault. Essentially, Krystal will board an Arwing piloted by Slippy and ride on the wing, just like how Fox did in certain levels. The difference being, instead of using the plasma laser (weapon Fox was equipped with on those levels), she would be using an item only used in the game's VS mode called the Demon (or Devil) Launcher. It's a homing launcher that's normally given to the player losing the match and causes an automatic 1 hit KO when coming into contact with a foe.

With that weapon, Krystal is armed with 3 missles, and would fire them onto the stage wherever you aim and fire. These missiles will lock onto a specific location of your choosing on the stage and will hit that spot. Characters who are hit by the blast will be launched off the stage and accumulate a lot of damage (30-35%), but won't necessarily KO them right away.
