After several months and life being hectic I'm back!!! But First a few things...
Few changes to Blog[]
Guide writing is not for me so I'm not going to write any. Its going to be more random from here out. No real schedule for blogging so sometimes I might blog daily or it might be a few weeks between blogs.
Now lets begin...
Overhaul[]
Welcome to Overhaul, where we overhaul a series repersenation (namely characters) in smash
Fire Emblem is a more controversial series in Smash, jumping from 2-6 from Brawl to 4.
So we have 2 legacy characters, 2 self inserts and 2 marth clones.
So Marth and Ike cant really be changed however a few small tweeks to the characters can bring new life into them.
Marth's sword could be longer and more Rapier like which FINALLY gives some explanation (to and outsider of Fire Emblem) for the tipper. Ike's sword can shoot energy beams... also he has an AX!!! I feel like if ike switched be sword and ax and had a few projectiles9 like one of Ike's custom Up-Specials) I feel likethe legay characters could be freshened up. Also Marth now has an english voice actor (Code Name S.T.E.A.M. anyone?)
So... Robin and Corrin... I like robin although I feel like ALL his/her specials should be like the Neutral special. Few examples:
Side Special- Tap you get Stamdard Arc Fire but if you hold the button you get an EXPLOSION like with Arc Fire plus.
Up-special- hold the attack button to go higher and get that spike. If you tap the button you go a small distance and not get the spike.
Down Special- hold the button and it goes further? I can see why the specials were made the way they were but it would be nice to have some variety.
Corrin in my opinion , while a welcome adition, could have been put in for another character. I'd say Azura, Ryoma or Takumi could have been good picks as well. Spears, songstresses, and bows (NOT LIKE PITS) have not been put into smash and Ryoma has a cool lightsaber katana and brings a more eastern influence to the table ( same with takumi )
The clones... Lucina could use her project X zone 2 appearence if she were to come back, LOADS OF WEAPONS , and Roy is ok but both could be replaced or left if they are not changed...(or replaced by any of the characters above0
