Terry is a downloadable newcomer in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate from the SNK fighting multiverse (commonly starring in Fatal Fury, and regular in The King of Fighters). He is classified as fighter #74. His inclusion was revealed in the September 4, 2019 Nintendo Direct. He was officially released on November 6, 2019 along with a video presenting him.

- Can cancel most standard attacks with special moves, allowing Terry to possess significant combo potential.

Ground Attacks
Normal
- Neutral Attack: A high jab, followed by a punch to the body, and ending with a high kick.
- Side Tilt (Middle Kick): A middle-height kick.
- Up Tilt (Rising Upper): An uppercut.
- Down Tilt (Under Kick): A low kick, similar to Ryu and Ken.
- Dash Attack (Power Charge): A shoulder ram.
Smash Attacks
- Side Smash (Backspin Kick): Terry slightly reels back before performing a hook kick while leaping forward.
- Up Smash (Wild Upper): Terry crouches down and performs an uppercut.
- Down Smash (Slide Kick): A low kick, hits directly in front of Terry but not behind him.
Other attacks
- Dodge Attack: Terry performs an uppercut. Can be done by pressing the A button immediately after spot dodging. When performing this, Terry's upper body becomes invincible.
- Floor Attack (Front): Performs a spin kick around himself, starting from behind.
- Floor Attack (Back): Performs a spin kick around himself, starting from behind.
- Floor Attack (Trip): Performs a spin kick around himself, staring from behind.
- Edge Attack: Climbs up and performs a sweep kick with one leg.
Aerial Attacks
- Neutral Air (Chop): A quick aerial chop.
- Forward Air (Jump Kick): A diagonally angled kick.
- Back Air (Jump Backward Kick): Spin kicks behind himself.
- Up Air (Somersault Kick): A bicycle kick.
- Down Air (Jump Karate Punch): A downward punch. Can meteor smash.
Grabs and Throws
- Grab: Grabs the opponent with both hands.
- Pummel: Performs a gut punch.
- Forward Throw (Buster Throw): Slams the opponent on the ground in front of him.
- Back Throw (Buster Throw): Slams the opponent on the ground behind him.
- Up Throw (Grasping Upper): Uppercuts the opponent.
- Down Throw (Neck Breaker Drop): Leaps and performs a neck breaker throw.
Special Moves
Taunts
- Up Taunt: Gestures and says, “Hey, come on, come on!” Based on his signature intro pose.
- Side Taunt: Turns to the side and points, saying, “Stand up!” Based on a victory pose he received in Gaoru: Mark of the Wolves.
- Down Taunt: Takes his cap off and spins it around before putting it back on.
On-Screen Appearance
- Jumps onto the stage from the background and adjusts his hat, similar to the lane switching mechanic of the Fatal Fury games.
Idle Poses
- Adjusts his cap before quickly pumping his fists.
- Hops on his feet.
Victory Poses
- Throws his cap and says, "Okay!"
- Dusts his pants with his cap and puts the cap back on his head.
- Tosses his cap behind himself and says, "Okay!"
