I recently bought an SD Card for the sole purpose of backing up my Super Smash Bros. Brawl data, but when I tried to copy the data to the Card, it wouldn't let me. Is this normal? Do I need to use a certain kind of card? Is there anything I can do?--[[User:LazyLord777|LazyLord777]] ([[User talk:LazyLord777|talk]]) 00:16, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

Revision as of 00:16, 5 October 2009

I cleaned-up this article a lot. I find it strange that the message said "Don't edit this article with newcomers unless they are officially announced", and we had rumored characters. Makes no sense.

Also, most of the references were meaningless. So, I helped out. Sorry if anyone disagrees, but I believe the article looks cleaner now.

But, we do need information on gameplay. Is anyone willing to make a section on that? If not, I will later. Setherex 21:58, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

There should be a gameplay section with information about items, stages, and modes similar to the other game articles. I support staying away from rumoured characters. Dtm142 03:23, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

no. it's still not known if it's fake or real. FyreNWater 16:17, September 16, 2007 (EDT)
It's fake. If it was real, it would AT LEAST have Solid Snake, Bowser, Peach, the Ice Climbers, and Sonic the Hedgehog on it. Johnknight1 9:28, October 13, 2007 (PCT) Now allow me to prove to you how stupid I am through the next several comments.
First off, it has Peach. Second, it doesn't have to have every character. Third, Snake and Sonic are secret characters. Fourth, it's being used on GoNintendo. WaluigiIsAwesome 12:52, October 13, 2007 (EDT)
I say let's put back the Super Smash Bros. Brawl white background logo over that fake boxart. This isn't wiki (well, sorta), and that is clearly fake. Anyone who thinks otherwise is sorely misled. Anyone who has a link to the white background Super Smash Bros. Brawl logo please replace this fake boxart with it. Thank you. Johnknight1 3:16 October 20, 2007 (PCT)
No, it's real. It's being used on GoNintendo, an official Nintendo website. It's the real deal, trust me. WaluigiIsAwesome 05:07, October 23, 2007 (EDT)

That link is not a valid one. Someone give me a valid link to Nintendo's official site saying it's real. Otherwise it is going down. Besides, is there any reason NOT TO HAVE SNAKE, SONIC, or any other 3rd party characters=???? Simpy put, it is the ugliest box art ever for a AAA class game=therefore, it is not the real box art. Go Nintendo said Shiek and Ganondorf were already confirmed in Brawl, and believed some silly rumor that Ike's current up B attack would be a 1 hit KO final smash! XD Johnknight1 1:00, October 25, 2007 (EDT)
Notice that the URL is press.nintendo.com. It's NINTENDO'S WEBSITE. How much more official can you get!? (and, yes, Sheik and Ganondorf ARE confirmed for Brawl.) WaluigiIsAwesome 04:21, October 26, 2007 (EDT)
Uglisest Art ever? All the art is brand new and looks really good, could you expect this quality from anything but official Nintendo Artwork? --Phred 08:07, October 26, 2007 (EDT)
Yes, it's uglier then SSB64's box art. Do I need to show this. [1] This analyisis proves it's fake. And if it's so good, where the hell is Sonic, Snake, Peach, Bowser, and many other important Nintendo characters. We're missing many key starters. There has never been a SSB Box Art that DOESN'T HAVE ALL THE STARTERS (minus Shiek, but she was a transformation). This is fake. Link's face looks like he's stupid, AND THERE IS NO WI-FI SYMBOL! And the one that has it has it out of place. It is fake. PERIOD. --Johnknight1 15:16, October 28, 2007 (EDT)
We can't really proof if it is fake or real, if it is real when the game come out in February the Box art will be different than this one, and it will probably have Sonic (and yes peach appear in this boxart). COMA!. sorry PERIOD!. --Fandangox 20:30, October 28, 2007 (EDT)
I like how it's being used on an official Nintendo site seems to have no standing in this argument... --Phred 03:10, October 29, 2007 (EDT)

Look, JohnKnight, it's being used on an OFFICIAL NINTENDO WEBSITE. It doesn't get any more real than that. Besides, that link you posted essentially says the guy thinks it is real. WaluigiIsAwesome 05:36, October 30, 2007 (EDT)

Oh, and wouldja look at that? Now it's on the JAPANESE DOJO, too. *victory music* WaluigiIsAwesome 22:56, December 26, 2007 (EST)
Ok lets put this one to bed people, we now know that its REAL (mostly because Nintendo is USING IT for their product package) and that there is so much evidence that you have to have an I.Q. of 4 not to realize its the real art. Anonymous

Ice Climbers stage

I think that the Ice Climbers may have a stage that was shown in the third trailer today. If you pause while the Ice Climbers are doing their victory pose (after Yoshi), you can see that the platform they are on looks icy, while the background has what appears to be the Northern Lights, something absent from other stages, but can usually be seen in cold, northern places (hence the name), like Alaska (and I don't mean Shadow Moses Island XD). I believe that this stage may be the Ice Climber's stage. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, I just wanted to see if I could add it to the page. Teamrocketspy621 17:34, October 10, 2007 (EDT)

I've been hearing this elsewhere as well, but... is this enough to justify a stage page? And what would we call it before we get an official name? I guess if enough people agree that it's enough, I wouldn't mind an entry being made out of it. -Thores 00:27, October 11, 2007 (EDT)

Bit World?

So, I was looking through the stages listed, and noticed Bit World.

I'm sorry but when did this come up? Where was it shown? If it was in an update, or trailer, then I'm sorry, but I've never heard of it.

From what I can tell, it's rubbish. Someone's been going around and making stuff up on various pages. I'm pretty sure this is the same guy who added a completely made up moveset for Lucas on his page. Anyways, I've taken the liberty of removing it. -Thores 00:42, October 11, 2007 (EDT)

This article is horrible.

It's quite honestly the worst article I've encountered on the Wiki so far, barring blatant vandalism. There's no reason for EVERY SINGLE ELEMENT in the game to have its own sub-section. When you look at the fact that many of these subsections consist of nothing more than a sentence, you begin to wonder, "... what the hell was/were the person/people thinking when they wrote this?" I'm going to do a major cutting down on this article; several things will be removed or moved to new pages. The article is currently 44 kilobytes long - that's just absolutely ridiculous. – EP (TalkEdits) 20:16, November 23, 2007 (EST)

Ness, Lucario, & Jigglypuff...confirmed?

As some of you may/may not know, that 5 minute How to Play video? It was recently updated. On the sticker part of it, it goes over the Groudon & Claus. But rather then being blank, they show the power-up information stuffs.

Groudon showed: Pikachu, Pokemon Trainer, LUCARIO & JIGGLYPUFF icons. Claus showed: NESS & Lucas icons.

It should be noted that, by now, the video has been reverted. But there are several pictures out there showing them, and I'm sure someone capture the video. SHould we add them? Maybe under the unconfirmed characters section? (Mario66 00:51, January 21, 2008 (EST))

I put them under unconfirmed, but I'm sort of having second thoughts. This was from THE official Japanese Nintendo website, plus word will we get to Sakurai and he'll probably put them on the site soon. Pokemon Master

Unconfirmed characters

More Characters maybe?

Today Serebii.net said that this was the almost full roster to Brawl. So are we expecting more characters or something? Pokemon Master 19:04, January 30, 2008 (UTC)

  • Take a look at the "Full" roster we have. You'll notice two things: there are only 8 entries on the bottom row (including the random square), and charactrs from similar games don't line up. If we insert a space between Dedede and Lucario, it fixes everything. Lucario lines up with Pikachu, Pokemon Trainer, and Jigglypuff; Ness lines up with Lucas; Sonic ends up under Snake; Bowser gets pushed around to line up with Mario, Luigi, and Peach; Wario gets pushed with the other "Mario spin-offs" (Diddy, DK, Yoshi); Toon Link lines up with Link, Zelda, Gannondorf; And Kirby, Metaknight, Dedede remain untouched. So who could go in this exta slot added? Well, since it's under Fox and Falco, it's likely a starfox character. Krystal seems likely, given that we've heard info on her already, but I've also heard a rumor it's Star Wolf. --Wildfire393 10:52, January 30, 2008 (EST)

How convenient, the Dojo updated it today. Thou Hath No Honor 07:01, February 4, 2008 (EST)

So why are Secret Stages being added to the Confirmed Stages section?

Especially considering there is already a Secret Stages section? Why not just put all the secret stages under the Confirmed Secret Stages section? Or at least just put the remaining secret stages into Confirmed Stages. It seems silly.

New gameplay thingy?

I've noticed something whilst watching a video on YouTube.

If a character is sent flying and they fly into another character, the other character gets damage and gets knocked away as well.

Starting Roster rearrange

I think you guys need to rearrange the roster correctly because when you choose your character, the announcer says Pikmin and Olimar only in the Japanese Version while the US says Olimar. So can you guys correctly change it despite the Smash Bros. DOJO saying Pikmin and Olimar instead just Olimar when you guys play the game.

Verb Agreement and spelling errors

In the Characters section of the article, there's a sentence right below the "Default Characters" sub-section that reads, "Their apperance as default characters have been confirmed by comparing the DOJO!! page to a screenshot." It should be "Their appearance as default characters has been confirmed by comparing the DOJO!! page to a screenshot," the errors being in the spelling of 'appearance' and 'has' instead of 'have'. Although no one else might care or see the point, I find a lot of grammatical and punctuational errors in the use of verbs and commas. I'd fix it all, but, ya know. Famitsu Score

"including a perfect score from the Japanese magazine Famitsu, a feat obtained only by a handful of other titles"

This statement is extremely questionable. They make no attempt to hide the fact their reviews are heavily influenced by game publishers, who can infact choose to have the score of their game raised, but sacrifice advertisements in the magazine. I'm not sure where this ideal of having a high Famitsu score being a big deal came about from, perhaps it's being confused with the UK's EDGE magazine, which are well known for their punishing reviews, and have also given out very few perfect scores92.21.73.176 00:26, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
