Types of Amiibo

Since this is the Smash Bros. wiki, I think we should only list Smash Bros. amiibos. Does anyone else agree? DerpyDoodle 18:50, January 15, 2015 (UTC)

According to the official website's compatibility chart, the Super Mario amiibos (except Toad) will still be fully compatible with the Smash Bros. games. - Nick O'Demus 19:51, January 15, 2015 (UTC)
I think it might be best to add that under Trivia rather than make a list for it. DerpyDoodle 20:07, January 15, 2015 (UTC)
All Amiibos are pretty much the same thing, the model of the character itself doesn't, what counts is the chip inside the base. As long the character appears in Smash Bros., any Amiibo of that said character (i.e. Mario) will work with Smash Bros. But I agree it could be added in Trivia, or a separate section such as "Non-Smash Bros. Amiibos" which lists compatible Amiibos of other series that can be used for Smash. --Bingbangpoe (talk) 12:03, January 16, 2015 (UTC)

SSB WiiU vs 3DS save data

The official website says that for games with a read/write configuration, an amiibo can only hold data for one game at a time (meaning that if you use a Mario amiibo for SSB, then use that same Mario amiibo for Mario Party 10, you'll lose the SSB data). The compatibility chart has both SSB WiiU and SSB 3DS as read/write games, so does an amiibo use the same data for both versions, or can you only use one amiibo for each? (I really hope it's the former...) - Nick O'Demus 03:08, January 16, 2015 (UTC)

The plural of amiibo is amiibo. [1] AceFedora (talk) 00:59, April 28, 2018 (UTC)
