Swap to Pyra and Swap to Mythra are Pyra and Mythra's down special moves.
Overview[]
Much like Transform with Zelda and Sheik pre-Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, Pyra and Mythra are capable of switching into each other at anytime. The move is very quick to initiate, even outpacing Pokémon Change, and does not halt their momentum. Just like the two aforementioned moves, Swapping can be used defensively, effectively acting as a second Sidestep for them.
When Swapping, Pyra and Mythra have a handful quotes they will often exclaim:

Mythra's Awekening . Xenoblade Chronicles 2 .-2
Pyra changes into Mythra for the first time in Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
Within the context of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Pyra and Mythra are the split personalities of the Aegis. In the DLC prequel story Torna - The Golden Country, Mythra was originally the sole person of the Aegis' Core Crystal; however, in the aftermath of the Aegis War, she spontaneously transforms into Pyra in a moment of extreme grief after witnessing all of the wanton destruction she had caused in the final battle against Malos. She would remain as Pyra during her hibernation for 500 years.
Later in the main story , Pyra transforms into Mythra for the first time since the Aegis War in order to save Rex from Obrona and Sever. Though furious and hesitant at first, she eventually forms a bond with Rex and becomes one of his Blades. From that point on, the player is allowed to swap between Pyra and Mythra freely during battle.
