Super Mario Bros. (スーパーマリオブラザーズ, Sūpā Mario Burazāzu, sometimes referred to as Super Mario or SMB) is a Mario game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. It is the best-selling game of all time and set the standard for many Mario games after which.

Mario and Luigi were the only two characters representing their series in Super Smash Bros., and have become staples in the games ever since. Princess Peach and Bowser were meant to be included in the original Super Smash Bros., but were not added, due to time constraints and limited memory space. However, they are playable in both Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
