Stone Scabbard (ロケット下突き) is one of the Mii Swordfighter's Up Special Moves. Mii Swordfighter leaps upwards while slashing their sword, then does a diving stab when they reach the peak of their jump.

In Ultimate, The move ascends much higher and can move the Mii Swordfighter to the left or right before going up, and has more horizontal momentum, making it more useful for recovery.

Overview[]

Strengths:

  • Good vertical height
  • Potential combo finisher
  • Good damage and launch

Weaknesses:

  • Easy to SD if used off-stage
  • Easily punished
  • Little horizontal movement

Stone Scabbard is great for fans of moves like Ike's Aether and Cloud's Climhazzard. It has some good vertical distance with the leap at the start of the move, but can easily result in a SD if used off stage when the downwards stab takes effect. The move is a potential combo finisher, lifting opponents up while damaging them and then slamming them back down into the ground. The move also has some good damage and launch if it connects but if the move misses it can be easily punished due to the ending lag. The move also doesn't get much horizontal movement, so it is recommended to have a good horizontal recovery move equipped to help this.
