Stalfos (Ocarina of Time)

The Stalfos (スタルフォス, Sutarufosu) is an enemy from The Legend of Zelda universe. It appears in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS as an enemy in the Smash Run game mode.

In Super Smash Bros. for 3DS[]

Ssbu stalfos large-1-

Stalfos are enemies in Smash Run. When not attacking a player, they will patrol back and forth at a slow pace. Once they spot an enemy, they will prepare to fight by constantly moving back and forth, lunging to attack a player with their sword. They have two attacks the first is a three slash combo with their sword and the second attack is a jump attack which can meteor smash fighters at a diagonal angle. Their shields will block both physical and projectile attacks, so a dash attack is recommended when attacking from the front.

Alternatively, a player can attack from above; if high enough a Stalfos returns to its idle position and will be unable to react to the player in time.

Trophy Description[]

These powerful enemies from the Legend of Zelda series block attacks with their shields, even while they're attacking, making them very difficult to deal with. However, when their attention is focused in front, they're very vulnerable to attacks from behind...

Origins[]

The Stalfos is an enemy that has appeared in almost every main game in The Legend of Zelda series. They are undead skeleton beings that wield various weapons, from swords to clubs, and sometimes they hold a shield as well. They attack by swinging their weapons, and usually attack in groups. The Smash Run version of the Stalfos is based on the design from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
