Smashdown is a Special Smash game mode introduced in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It is a game mode where players keep battling a certain amount of battles as the roster decreases until Smashdown ends.
In Smashdown, after every battle, all fighters used in the battle will be removed from the roster and cannot be used again. 2 or more players cannot use the same fighter in a battle.
