Shops are areas that are unlockable through getting the required Master Spirit in front of said Shop. Shops can be accessed at any time through going to the location where it stands in the World of Light map or by accessing the Shop tab in the pause menu. There are multiple shops in the World of Light map.

Shops show up to four items which will randomly be either Skill Spheres, spirits or Snacks. Once something is bought, the slot will be empty for a while, after which it will be replaced by something else. All the items in the Shop can be bought through spending Spirit Points. Every item has a set price that is the same in all Shops, but some items occasionally have discounted prices. Different Shops have tendencies to sell certain items, meaning you're more likely to find certain items by going to the right Shop.

If a spirit that can be used to clear an obstacle or drive a vehicle is being sold in the shop and you do not own said spirit, a distinctive exclamation mark (different from that of when you can upgrade something on the Skill Tree) will appear over the button leading to the Shop tab, the button leading to the Shop where it is being sold and over the item that is being sold and is important. This is so that players don't miss out on a chance to get nice rewards or make progress, despite the fact that spirits are rarely ever 100% necessary to clear the path and make progress.
