A series symbol is the logo that represents another game universe, assigned to playable characters and stages. It is displayed next to a character's damage meter (the same color as the character), as well as on the Victory Screen. This is a list of all the symbols, along with a short explanation of what they are and where they come from within their game universes, and a picture.

Dragon Quest | A sigil that resembles a bird | Represents Erdrick's symbol, which is usually seen on important equipment owned by Erdrick, which can be found in the first three Dragon Quest games. This symbol most closely resembles the one found on the Mark of Erdrick, a recurring item also found in the first three Dragon Quest games. | ||

EarthBound/Mother | The Earth | Substituted for the letter 'O' in the series' Japanese title (Mother). | ||
Electroplankton | A Nanocarp | Nanocarp, one of the various Electroplanktons; featured on the game's box art. | ||
Fatal Fury | A star tilted at an angle | Lifted from Terry's iconic star on the back of his jacket, and used as part of the logo of several games in the series, such as Real Bout Fatal Fury Special. It is also used as the icon for when Terry wins a round in Garou: Mark of the Wolves. | ||
F-Zero | A falcon | The golden crest on Captain Falcon's helmet. | ||
Find Mii | A regal crown | Represents the crown the player's Mii wears in the game. | ||

Kirby | A star | Stars are a common motif throughout the Kirby series. Kirby's main mode of transportation is the Warp Star, used to travel between areas at high speeds. Kirby's home planet, Pop Star, is also shaped like a star. | ||
Mario | A Super Mushroom | A common power-up in the Mushroom Kingdom which usually makes Mario or Luigi grow in size. | ||

One could presume it represents "Special Stages", as this is given as the title of the stage, but Final Destination (which is also titled Special Stages) is given the Super Smash Bros. symbol instead. Although in Adventure Mode, the Smash Bros. Symbol is used on Battlefield. The meaning and intent of this symbol is therefore unknown. |
