A series symbol is the logo that represents a universe in all three Super Smash Bros. games, as long as the universe is represented by at least one character and/or one stage. More minor universes that do not contribute characters or stages to the series do not receive symbols and when a symbol is required to represent something from a minor universe the Smash Bros. symbol is usually used instead. It is displayed next to a character's damage meter (the same color as the character), as well as on the victory screen. This is a list of all the symbols, along with a short explanation of what they are and where they come from within their game universes, and a picture.
