A sacrificial KO is when a character "brings down" another character in where both characters walk over one of the blast line. Some of the best sacrificial KOs are Donkey Kong's forward throw, Kirby's neutral special and up special, King Dedede's neutral special and up special, and Bowser's side special. Here are all of the known sacrificial KOs.




Sacrificial KOs per Character

This table includes all known Sacrificial KOs for every character, as well as some important properties of each.

Character Sacrificial KOs Notes
Bowser Flying Slam (SSBB) Grabs the opponent, jumps up, and slams the opponent into the ground. Can be used to throw Bowser and the character off the stage. The opponent can control where Bowser lands. Effective in Sudden Death, as the opponent dies first.
Bowser Bomb The opponent is launched upward. If done above a pit, Bowser falls into the pit and dies.
Captain Falcon Raptor Boost Captain Falcon does not drag the opponent down with him, but meteor smashes the opponent downward, and then usually selfdestructs afterward.
Diddy Kong Monkey Flip When done in midair, Diddy Kong latches onto the opponent. The opponent is unable to move, so Diddy can latch on while both characters fall off the edge of the screen. Press an attack button to jump off and meteor smash the opponent.
Donkey Kong Forward Throw Carries the opponent over his head. Can be used to fall off the stage or throw the opponent off the screen. Press an attack button to throw in front of DK.

Falco Falco Phantasm Falco can do this above a pit to meteor smash an opponent, and Falco dies himself.
Fox None.
Ganondorf Flame Choke When done in midair, grabs the opponent, and dives to the ground, damaging the opponent. Effective for a jump off the stage.
Ice Climbers None.
Ike Aether Meteor smashes the opponent on the way down. Can be used to bring an opponent down above a pit.
Great Aether If performed on a stage with a large gap in the middle, such as Sample S:Hole, Ike will fall down the pit with the opponent at the end of the Final Smash.
Jigglypuff None.
King Dedede Inhale Can spit out on the edge of the stage. King Dedede can also walk off the stage with the opponent or fall off the pit with the opponent.
Super Dedede Jump King Dedede meteor smashes the opponent on the way down. If done over a pit, King Dedede will also die unless he is very close to a ledge and cancels the attack before he passes it.
Kirby Inhale Can spit out on the edge of the stage. Kirby can also walk off the stage with the opponent or fall off the pit with the opponent.
Final Cutter Meteor smashes the opponent on the way down. Can be used to bring an opponent down above a pit.
Up Throw If done on a falling block in Stage Builder, and the move is performed right before it dissapears, both Kirby and the opponent will fall off the pit. Also, on stages that scroll upward or downward (such as Rumble Falls and Rainbow Cruise, Kirby and the opponent can land on a platform above the upper blast line, resulting in a self-destruct.
Foward/Back Throw (Melee only) If done on the edge of a platform, Kirby will throw himself and the opponent off the cliff.
