The Roturret (デスポッド, Death Pod in Japan) is a recurring enemy in the Super Smash Bros. series. They first appear in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and return in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS.
Roturrets are mechanized turrets with a giant arrow for a body flanked by two guns and a skull-like shape in the center. A Roturret spins around, firing six laser shots at the player's fighter, who can reflect them back at the Roturret. Whenever a Roturret is hit, it loses its aim on the fighter and faces a different direction, only to soon turn back to face them and continue shooting. The turrets are spaced far enough that even though if it's pointing right at a target, the shots can actually miss as they go past either side of the character. This makes a fully charged up smash good for dealing with them. Attacks that hit multiple times are also good for dealing with Roturret, as when the Roturret is attacked it will turn clockwise, and is unable to attack until it takes aim again. If you stand a while on the same place he can't shoot you because he has no cannon in the middle. Roturrets have a blind spot in their center.
Roturret's name is a portmanteau of "rotate" and "turret," based on how it moves in circles to take aim and fires ammunition like a turret gun.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl[]
Roturrets are enemies in Adventure Mode: The Subspace Emissary. They are encountered in several levels, the first one being in Skyworld. A Roturret has a trophy that can be obtained by throwing a Trophy Stand at it.
If the Roturret is the only enemy left in The Canyon, and goes to the top parts of the stage, it turns itself three times, then start shooting for no reason.

In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS[]
Roturret returns as a common enemy for Smash Run. They behave identically as in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Like the other enemies in Smash Run mode, Roturrets have their own trophy, which is obtained as a random drop in one of the single-player modes.

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[]
A Roturret appears as a primary spirit. It can be acquired only from purchasing it at Sheldon's Place in Adventure Mode: World of Light.
