They will randomly appear on the right side of the stage and open their wide mouths devouring any unluckly brawler. They sometimes will stand there looking about giving the players an extra platform. However, if they linger on the Red Bulborb it will quickly run off screen carrying the players to their deaths.

Bulborb

Bulborbs are creatures hailing from the Pikmin series. They are the most common enemies. Their name comes from Olimar's pet, Bulbie, who looks like a small bulborb.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Bulborbs appear on the Distant Planet stage. They can be seen in the background sleeping, roaming about or on the right of the stage where it acts as a platform. However, if the Bulborb closes its mouth while someone is standing inside, they will be trapped and will be pulled off the stage, losing a life.
