The Ray Gun is a long-range weapon used in SSB, SSBM, and SSBB and differs significantly. The green lasers it fires has high knockback and a medium fire rate.
One can shoot it 16 times before it runs out of shots.
Each shot does between 2-4% damage.
When thrown, it does between 9-13% damage when smash thrown but 5-9% damage when dropped.
One of the better combo weapons, it causes enough knockback to hit a person multiple times. One of the specials to get in a match is "Laser Marksman" which means every blast makes contact with an enemy.
Also, players should note that because of the high knockback, this item is very good for edge guarding, as it pushes the opponents from the stage with each hit.
