Power Dunk consists of two hits, one when Terry leaps up and the other when Terry descends with a punch. Unlike most stall-then-fall down specials, when Terry flies downwards, he will not be sent straight to the blast zone. If the player performs the input (forward, down, down-forward, the same input for Heavy Shoryuken), Terry will gain invincibility at the start of the move.
Power Dunk first appeared as one of Terry's specials in Fatal Fury 3 and served as a more horizontal counterpart to Rising Tackle. This move is believed to have been inspired by his love of basketball, and an unnamed attack used in a fight with Kim Kaphwan in Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture.
Power Dunk also serves as part of Terry's High Angle Geyser desperation move in later King of Fighters games.
In Mark of the Wolves, Terry retains this move and his protege Rock Howard could also perform a version of it as part of his Rage Run attack.
