Onslaught (瞬発百裂キック) is one of Mii Brawler's Side Special Moves. It is their default Side Special Move. The user rushes forward with their knee outstretched. Hitting an opponent causes the Mii to barrage them with several kicks, finishing with an uppercut capable of launching the opponent. If Onslaught was performed in the air, the kicks will carry the opponent slightly upward.
Overview[]
Strengths:
- Horizontal recovery
- Good method of racking damage on
- Good for discouraging edge-guarders
- The uppercut can kill at higher percentages
- Combo starter
Weaknesses:
- Very little forward momentum after the attack when used in the air
- Leaves Mii Brawler helpless after using it in midair
Onslaught is a great move for players that like to quickly rack up damage on opponents. The barrage of kicks racks a great amount of damage on foes and then the uppercut launches the enemy into the air for Mii Brawler to follow up with some aerial combos. The forward movement of the move makes it good for horizontal recovery as well, though when they reach the end of the attack's path they almost instantly start falling downwards, carrying no momentum from the attack's forward movement. Opponents that are waiting on the edge could be hit with the attack when Mii Brawler recovers with it, carrying them upwards and launching them away, making the move useful for discouraging edge-guard attempts. Mii Brawler is left helpless after the move when it is used in the air unless they manage to hit an opponent, in which case they can use it again or use an up special move. The uppercut from the attack can kill at later percentages off the ceiling, killing even earlier if players manage to get the move to connect with an aerial opponent.
