"Nintendo Land Medley" is a music track that features a mashup of music tracks from Nintendo Land into one arrangement. This track was composed in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U that played on the Miiverse stage. The track returns in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, however, due to the discontinuation of Miiverse, the stage did not return.

This medley incorporates the daytime main theme from its source material which is also present in both for Wii U and Ultimate, being a direct rip from the game, however, in both Smash Bros. games, it is misleadingly referred to as "Title Theme - Nintendo Land."

History[]

As Nintendo Land amassed a total of 5.21 million copies for the Nintendo Wii U, ranking 5th on the Wii U's best selling games of all time, a remix was most likely chosen to promote the game as for Wii U and Nintendo Land were on the same console.[1]

In a 2013 interview during the development of 3DS/Wii U,[2] Sakurai explains that he will typically ask a game's original composer to contribute to the project and work out a compromise. Despite Nintendo Landโ€˜s original composer, Ryo Nagamatsu, also arranging music for 3DS/Wii U, he was not involved in the arrangement for this remix.

Music used[]

None of the music for any of Nintendo Landโ€˜s minigame attractions are included in this remix, as the attractions in the game are based on Nintendo franchises already represented in for Wii U at the time. Instead, the remix focuses on the game's original tracks.

The track starts off with a heavy, upbeat guitar remix of daytime version of the Main Theme.

The track then calms into a remix of the "Theme of Monita," dropping all the button sound effects from the original.

The track then transitions to a remix of the coin drop minigame.

Before the track loops, it replays the ending segment of the main theme.
