The Nintendo DS "universe" refers to the Super Smash Bros. series' collection of stages and properties that hail from the default software on Nintendo's Nintendo DS handheld video game system. There are no characters to hail from it, making it one of the three universes without a playable character.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl
The Nintendo DS is recognized as its own universe by Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Stage
Currently, the only representation the universe has gotten is a stage known as PictoChat, which is based off of the PictoChat feature built into all Nintendo DS systems.
