This is the list of Music that appears in Super Smash Bros. Melee.
The music of Super Smash Bros. Melee was done by a group credited as "Orchestra Melee". The tracks as they are presented in the game's Sound Test are listed and described here.

  +
All tracks were arranged by a group of composers who are credited as "Orchestra Melee"; despite the name, a majority of the tracks are sequenced through sound libraries (although the songs "Opening", "Great Bay", "Pokémon Stadium", "Adventure Mode Intro", "Game Over" and all of the fanfares (except for Captain Falcon and Mr. Game & Watch) were all performed by a live orchestra). "Orchestra Melee" shouldn't be confused with the New Japan Philharmonic, who only performed on the game's soundtrack album Smashing...Live!
Music tracks
Almost all of the game's music can be heard in the game's Sound Test feature, and they are given their "official titles" there.

  +
When viewing this song in Melee<nowiki/>'s Sound Test, all sound effects and vocal lines from the movie can be heard. However, for the first time in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, all the sound effects have been removed, thus making the full clean instrumental available for the first time.

The sound room features 80 entries in its Music list (00-79), but this is not the full selection of music in the actual game. Many would identify the "Giga Bowser" battle music, a distorted techno remix of Final Destination, as track #80, the 81st track. In the Debug menu, one can find several unused short pieces as well.

Unlocking Method
Alternate songs can only be unlocked when the player has unlocked certain number of characters (Tracks #30, #32, #34, #35, #36, and #37 are unlocked after all characters are unlocked while tracks #31, and #33 are unlocked after Marth, and Young Link are unlocked). * A part of the opening for Super Smash Bros. Melee has been derived from the song "Butter Building" from the Kirby game Kirby's Adventure. Also, the opening notes of the main theme bear a resemblance to the credits music from the original Star Fox.

* Much like the first two Mushroom [[Mushroom Kingdom (Super Smash Bros. This is the list of Music that appears in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

The tracks are presented as they are in the game's Sound Test and are listed and described here.

Tracklist

Title Description Details Game of Origin
Opening - Super Smash Bros. Melee This can be considered the main theme of Super Smash Bros. Melee as it plays during the opening movie and its melody is the main motif of several other tracks in the game.

When viewing this song in Melee's Sound Test, all sound effects and vocal lines from the movie can be heard. However, for the first time in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, all the sound effects have been removed, thus making the full clean instrumental available for the first time.

"DK Rap" Lyrics

He-he-here we go

So they're finally here, performing for you

If you know the words, you can join in too

Put your hands together, if you want to clap

As we take you through this monkey rap

Huh

DK!

Donkey Kong!

He's the leader of the bunch, you know him well

He's finally back to kick some tail

His coconut gun can fire in spurts

If he shoots ya, it's gonna hurt

He's bigger, faster, and stronger too

He's the first member of the DK crew!

DK!

Donkey Kong!

DK!

Donkey Kong is here!

This Kong's got style, so listen up dudes

She can shrink in size, to suit her mood

She's quick and nimble when she needs to be

She can float through the air and climb up trees

If you choose her, you'll not choose wrong

With a skip and a hop, she's one cool Kong!

DK!

Donkey Kong!

He has no style, he has no grace

Th-this Kong has a funny face

He can handstand when he needs to

And stretch his arms out, just for you

Inflate himself just like a balloon

This crazy Kong just digs this tune

DK DK

Donkey Kong

DK DK

Donkey Kong is here

He's back again and about time too

And this time he's in the mood

He can fly real high with his jetpack on

With his pistols out, he's one tough Kong!

He'll make you smile when he plays his tune

But Kremlings beware 'cause he's after you!

DK!

Donkey Kong!

DK!

Haha, Donkey Kong!

DK!

Donkey Kong!

Finally, he's here for you

It's the last member of the DK crew!

This Kong's so strong, it isn't funny

He can make a Kremling cry out for mummy

He can pick up a boulder with relative ease

Makes crushing rocks seem such a breeze

He may move slow, he can't jump high

But this Kong's one heck of a guy!

C'mon Cranky, take it to the fridge!

Walnuts, peanuts, pineapple smells

Grapes, melons, oranges and coconut shells

Walnuts, peanuts, pineapple smells

Grapes, melons, oranges and coconut shells

Aww yeah!
