In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mii Fighters are able to be customized with different outfits. The following is a list of different headgear and outfits a Mii Fighter can equip. The games also includes DLC hats and outfits.
Headgear
Starter | Unlockable | Downloadable |
Some headgear changes according to the gender of the Mii. In such cases, both versions are shown in the image cell.
The list is updated until SSBU Mii Fighters Costumes Round 6 release (2020-06-29) and in the total, it's been counted "none" as a headgear variation.
In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U the only headgear that changes a part due a Mii's skin tone is the Inkling Wig, as Princess Zelda (Twilight Princess) even having distinct ears, it's ever in the same skin tone.
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate the only headgear that changes a part of itself to match the skin tone of the Miis (until now) is: the Champion's Wig, Inkling Wig (both genders), Princess Zelda Wig (A Link's Between World) and the female version of the Splatoon 2 Wig, Callie Wig and Marie Wig.

Trivia
- The store image for the Akira outfit features a Mii Brawler battling a Metal Wii Fit Trainer. Her metal appearance here is a reference to Dural, the final boss of every single Virtua Fighter game to date (with Dural's appearance always being that of a metallic woman).
- Ryu's reveal trailer ends with him clashing with a Brawler dressed in the Heihachi outfit, referencing the earlier crossover fighting game Street Fighter X Tekken. Mega Man and Pac-Man were also playable in that game, albeit with Mega Man in a more comical form and Pac-Man riding a hollowed out Mokujin.
- The store page for the Lloyd outfit features a shot of a Mii performing the Chakram special move while wearing the outfit, referencing Lloyd's close friend Colette, who also fought with Chakram as both slashing and throwing weapons. Another shot shows a Lloyd Mii with brown eyes standing next to another Mii dressed in the full Lloyd set but with blue eyes. The blue-eyed Lloyd Mii may be a reference to Decus from the sequel Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, who disguised himself as Lloyd, and had blue eyes in his undisguised form.
- The Sans outfit, Cuphead outfit, and the Shantae outfit are the only outfits that are bundled with a song, being "MEGALOVANIA", "Floral Fury", and "Burning Town" respectively.
