Mewtwo is a Psychic-Type Pokémon. It appears as an unlockable character in Super Smash Bros. Melee. Despite being classified as a middleweight character, it has very little traction, but Mewtwo can be effective when on the defensive. Mewtwo's special moves are quite useful, once mastered, and have powerful and useful effects. Mewtwo is a playable character appeared in Melee, but its appearance is limited in Brawl as only a Subspace Emissary boss.

Special Moves

  • B - Shadow Ball (Much like Samus's Charge Beam, Mewtwo charges up and sends it flying in a wobbly path. Note: If an enemy touches the ball while it is charging, they will take damage.)
  • B → - Confusion (Puts the foe on their backside and can deflect projectiles.)
  • B ↑ - Teleport (This move can't make Mewtwo warp through solid platforms, but it can get Mewtwo out of a tight spot.)
  • B ↓ - Disable (Can disable enemies temporarily . Note: This move can be reflected back at you. Your opponent must be facing you in order to work.)

Unlocking

Melee

  • Play more than 20 combined hours in Vs. Mode
  • Playe 700 Vs. Mode matches

This may seem like a daunting task but many players have sidestepped it by starting a stock match with 2 human players and leaving the TV for a day. Upon returning the players would finish the match and obtain Mewtwo after battling him.

Hackers have, actually, found an already-made model of Mewtwo in the game, as well as already-made models of Roy, Dr. Mario, Dixie Kong, Toon Zelda/Sheik, and Plusle & Minun.Mewtwo along with the others just mentioned did not make it into brawl. The reason for the apparent removal is unknown; some speculate a lack of space, time, and/or will to be the culprits.
