  • You forgot to add Zelda to the portal. Don't worry I already did it for you. It looks nice. Should we do this for other pages?

  • What do think about these terms I created?

  • No one is responding to the contest since there is a tie between two backgrounds.

  • Do we even know how to make SMASH agree on anything? What would SMASH agree to?

    • Instead of complaining that you can't respond to my arguments because they're "opinions", I suggest you try arguing against them and explaining why you disagree with them.

I have, but they seem to not take root. For example, the pictures are instantly recognizable so I don't see that as "large pictures in their way", which you disagree with. You say "It's better to have a neat list of the characters", but I actually believe this method is just as easy to read, and if it were slightly less readable, I would see it more than makes it for it in attention-grabbing visual design. The internet has largely moved away from a purely text-based experience precisely because we have come to realize the importance of visual design as a user experience.

"make readers wonder why the images are so small": I don't think that fear is founded. I can't imagine the images will be so small that people can't see them. Also, as above, even if some space is lost, the overall visual appeal more than makes up for it.

" it's more about making your side look stronger." To who? My arguments have convinced others, so I believe that is precisely how one measures the strength. I see no objective alternative that you have offered. The only person you want me to convince is you, but you don't admit to not having convinced me, or anyone else for that matter.

"The opinions of regular users are just as valid" I completely agree, which is why when five other regular users have supported the portal idea, I am still surprised to that you refuse to cede the point. I have a difficult time interpreting your behavior as anything but intentionally impeding desired change.

Lastly, regarding design, this is something we can always change as the need arises. If we want to save some space and remove the "Veterans/Newcomers" approach, we easily can. I just put that in there because that was how the current list was situated.

    • People need images sometimes to recognize the character and the names can be good for like I don't know...Maybe if people don't know how to spell the character's name or they don't remember the character's name.

  • See I am trying to practice with my ssbb game for the next game but something happened. What happened is that the wii tells me to restart the game after taking out the disk yellow screen in green letters. It only does this for SSBB no Metroid trilogy, mario kart, or any other wii game. I don't think it has to do with scratches on the disk because:

A: I have plenty of disks that are WAY more damaged than ssbb yet work completely normal.

B: The wii would have told me if it couldn't read my disk yet it lets me press start. Any solutions?

    • Honestly, I have no idea. If it's not happening with other games, it's almost certainly the disk. And while you might have other scratched games, it could be where it's scratched. I think you must just have to buy another copy of the game. If you want to be extra sure it's the disk, try the game in someone else's Wii.

      Hope that helps!

    • See thats what worries me. When I put in the disk and go to the channel to play it doesn't say It can't read the disk it lets me start just fine then the disk clicks about 12 times and I get the error screen. Do you know anyone on the wiki or any sites with more info on this?

    • Usually wikia communities don't bother with technical troubleshooting. You're better off with google. Sorry.
