"Main Theme (Super Mario 64)" is a music track in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U that features a mashup of two tracks from Super Mario 64 into one arrangement. Despite its name, this track is actually a remix of the Bob-omb Battlefield theme from Super Mario 64. This track shares the same name with the one in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, except the one in Brawl is the original Bob-omb Battlefield theme ripped directly from Super Mario 64.
This track plays on Peach's Castle which originally appeared in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U until it became a downloadable stage for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. If the stage is bought as DLC, this music track along with "Peach's Castle Stage" will play on this stage and can also be heard in the Sound Test.
This track reappears in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with the name "Main Theme - Super Mario 64 (Remix)" as well as the original.
Tracks used[]
The track starts off with an extended electronic remix of the Bob-omb Battlefield theme. As the theme ends, the track transitions to an upbeat version of the Opening theme of Super Mario 64 which then loops back to the Bob-omb Battlefield theme.
