Lucario's up special Extreme Speed will send this Pokémon soaring on the path you choose. Lucario flies farther the more damage it's taken. Lucario makes use of its Aura for the side special Force Palm. At extremely close range, Lucario will grab an enemy first, dealing additional damage.

  • Lucario is one of the two known playable Pokémon to be based on the known anime incarnations, the other being Mewtwo.
    • Due to being based on its actual debut from Ruby and Sapphire movie Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, this means the playable Lucario in Super Smash Bros. series is most likely male, aside hence to his reprised voice actors (excluding an English version of Super Smash Bros. Brawl). Although it also based on its XY anime series incarnation, such as its Mega Evolution.
  • Lucario is one of the few Pokémon, as well as the only playable Pokémon, to be actually first appear in the anime prior its game debut.
