This is a list of companies with minor representation in the Super Smash Bros. series. These are companies who have only received representation through miscellaneous Assist Trophies, Items, Trophies, Stickers, Music, Spirits, or Mii Fighter Costumes.

1-Up Studio[]

1-Up Studio

1-Up Studio Inc. is a Japanese video game development company based in Chiyoda, Tokyo and a subsidiary of Nintendo. It was originally founded under the name Brownie Brown on June 30th, 2000 by Kameoka Shinichi and Kouji Tsuda, two former employees of Sqaure. They've primarily developed for Nintendo's handheld systems, namely the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS. They are best known for creating the Magical Vacation series, but have also been notable in assisting with the development of several other titles including Mother 3, Sword of Mana, Super Mario 3D Land, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, and The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes. On February 1st, 2013, Brownie Brown renamed itself to 1-Up Studio after becoming a subsidiary to Nintendo, serving as one of its development support companies.

Several characters from the Magical Vacation series make cameo appearances throughout Smash, most notably Mokka, Putty, and the protagonists from Magical Starsign (the sequel to Vacation), who appear as Trophies and Stickers in Super Smash Bros. Brawl (alongside a Pyrite, a Sparrow, a Pot, and Kirsh) and as Spirits in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Agenda[]

Agenda

Agenda was a Japanese video game development company based in Sapporo, Japan that was founded in 1990. Several of their works for Nintendo include Slide Adventure MAGKID, Clubhouse Games, and 1000 Cooking Recipes from Elle a Table. The company has been defunct since 2011.

Magkid, the titular protagonist of Slide Adventure MAGKID, makes cameos as a Sticker in Super Smash Bros. Brawl (alongside Mushi, one of the game's enemies) and as a Spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

AlphaDream[]

AlphaDream

AlphaDream Corporation Ltd. was a Japanese video game development company based in Tokyo and a former subsidiary of Nintendo. The company was founded in January 12th, 2000 under the name AlphaStar by Tetsuo Mizuno and, much like 1-Up Studio, its staff was made up of former Square employees (Mizuno himself was its former president). Much of the team brought their RPG expertise from Sqaure over to the new company, resulting in the creations of Koto Battle: Tengai no Moribito, Tomato Adventure, and the Mario & Luigi series. On October 1st, 2019, the company declared bankruptcy due to low revenue, high development costs, and being unable to pay their growing debt (which exceeded to ยฅ465 million).

Much of AlphaDream's representation in Smash mainly comes from the Mario & Luigi series. Several music tracks from the games are available, either as direct rips or new arrangements (some of which were handled by the original composer, Yoko Shimomura). Several characters from the series also make cameos as Stickers in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and as Spirits in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate; notable appearances include Fawful, Cackletta, Prince Peasley, Baby Peach, Starlow, Dreambert, and Papercraft Mario. Protagonist DeMille and the Tomatrio, from Tomato Adventure, also cameo as Spirits.

AQ Interactive[]

AQ Interactive

AQ Interactive, Inc. (stands for "Artistic Quality") was a Japanese video game developer and publisher who served as the parent company for Artoon, Cavia, feelplus, and Xseed Games. The company was founded on October 1st, 2005 when Cavia restructured to become a holding company responsible for managing subsidiary companies and the sales and promotion of games, while the old Cavia became its own company as the subsidiary of AQ. The company closed on October 5th, 2011 to merge with Marvelous AQL and Liveware Inc., forming the modern Marvelous Inc.

AQ is the co-developer of The Last Story alongside Mistwalker. The protagonists of the game, Zael and Calista, make an appearance in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U as Trophies and in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as Spirits.

Arc System Works[]

Arc System Works Co., Ltd. (often shortened to ArcSys) is a Japanese video game development company based in Yokohama. The company was founded originally as Arc Co., Ltd. by Minoru Kidooka initially as a contract developer for much larger companies such as Sega, Sammy, and Banpresto. Since then, they have become well known for their anime-styled Fighting games, such as Guilty Gear, BlazBlue, Persona 4 Arena, and Dragon Ball FighterZ. ArcSys is also the rights holders to Technลs' legacy titles including Double Dragon and River City Ransom.

Four characters from River City Ransom (Kunio, Riki, Goda, and Ryuchi & Ryuji) were added as free DLC Spirits through a special Spirit Event in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Argonaut Games[]

Argonaut Games

Argonaut Games was a British video game and software development company founded by Jez San and was based in London. They were perhaps best known for working closely with Nintendo in the creation of the Super FX chip for the SNES, which led to the creation of Star Fox, as well as the BRender (abbreviation of "Blazing Renderer") development toolkit and realtime 3D graphics engine, which would be used for other programs such as 3D Movie Maker. Outside of Star Fox and their development software, they are also the creators of Stunt Race FX and Croc: Legend of the Gobbos. The company was liquidated in 2005 and fully dissolved in 2007, with many of its former employees moving on to Rocksteady Studios.

Apart from Star Fox's major representation in the game, their original title Stunt Race FX has received minor representation; two of its characters, F-Type and Tractor Trailer, make cameos as Stickers in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and as Spirits in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Arika[]

Arika

Arika Co. Ltd. is a Japanese video game development company based in Tokyo. The company was founded in November 1995 by Akira Nishitani, a former employee of Capcom and the creator of Street Fighter II: The World Warrior, and was originally for game research purposes only. Due to Nishitani's experience, Arika is perhaps better known within Fighting game fans as the creators of the EX sub-series of Street Fighter, Fighting Layer for Namco, and their collective spiritual successor Fighting EX Layer. Outside of Fighting games, Arika have also been recently known for their contributions to the Tetris series (most notably Tetris 99), the Dr. Mario series, and the Endless Ocean series, as well as AR Games for the Nintendo 3DS, Super Mario Bros. 35, and most recently PAC-MAN 99 for Bandai Namco.

A direct rip of the track "Dragon Battle" from AR Games is available in both Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. All of the Tetriminos as they appear in Tetris 99 were also added as free DLC Spirits through a special Spirit Event in Ultimate.

Artoon[]

Artoon

Artoon was a Japanese video game development company based in Yokohama and a former subsidiary of AQ Interactive. Its staff was comprised of former Sega employees, most notably Naoto ลŒshima (creator of Sonic the Hedgehog) Yoji Ishii (developer on Shenmue). Artoon is best known for creating Blinx: The Time Sweeper for Xbox Game Studios and FlingSmash for Nintendo, as well as developing Yoshi Topsy-Turvy and Yoshi's Island DS. The company became defunct in 2010 after AQ Interactive filed for bankruptcy.

Some of Artoon's original Yoshi characters, such as Mace Guy, Crayzee Dayzee, Super Baby, Goonie, and the Spirit Who Loves Surprises, cameo as Stickers in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and as Spirits in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The main character of FlingSmash, Zip, also appears as a Spirit in Ultimate. A remix of the song "Wildlands" from Yoshi's Island DS is also available.

ARZEST[]

Arzest

ARZEST Corporation is a Japanese video game development company based in Yokohama. It was established in June 25th, 2010 as the independent spiritual successor to Artoon following its closing, with several members from the former transferring to the new company. ARZEST has since become known as the developers of the StreetPass Mii Plaza app for the Nintendo 3DS as well as porting various games to the system including Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World, and Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey. In terms of original titles, they include Yoshi's New Island, Hey! Pikmin, and Balan Wonderland for Square Enix.

Both a direct rip and an arrangement of the Main Theme to Yoshi's New Island (as well as a direct rip of the track "Bandit Valley") and several direct rips of tracks from Hey! Pikmin ("The Keeper of the Lake", "Over Wintry Mountains", and "Fragment of Hope") are all available in both Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. A Trophy of Yoshi and the Mega Eggdozer from Yoshi's New Island is available in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. Spirits of a Stork, Bandit, Little Mouser, the Grim Leecher, Ukiki, and the Mega Eggdozer from Yoshi's New Island and a Spirit of a Mockiwi from Hey! Pikmin also appear in Ultimate.

Asobism[]

Asobism

Absobism Co., Ltd. is a Japanese independent video game developer. Not much is known about the company besides their founding on December 11th, 2002 and they have offices in Tokyo and Nagano. They currently develop the Dragon Poker series for mobile phones but are also known as the creators of Freakyforms: Your Creations, Alive! for the Nintendo 3DS.

A medley of tracks from Freakyforms is available in both Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (as free DLC) and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. A Trophy of King Roy from Freakyforms Deluxe also appears in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS.

Bethesda Softworks[]

Bethesda

Bethesda Softworks LLC is an American video game developer and publisher based in Maryland and is a subsidiary of ZeniMax Media. It was founded in 1986 by Christopher Weaver, as he wanted to develop games for PCs. In 1999, Weaver and former attorney Robert A. Altman formed ZeniMax Media as Bethesda's parent company, which would allow them to acquire other studios and their intellectual properties the following years; the most notable being Interplay Entertainment in 2007 (creators of Fallout) and id Software in 2009 (creators of Doom, Wolfenstein, and Quake). Bethesda themselves later became known for creating The Elder Scrolls, Rage, and Dishonored.

Over the course of ZeniMax's lifespan, the company has been embroiled in several high-profile scandals in the gaming industry; these have included lawsuits with Electronic Arts and Mojang Studios, a pay dispute with Weaver, various exposรฉs on their tumultuous relationships with various other developers, and their infamously poor handling of the development and release of Fallout 76. In September 2020, it was announced that Microsoft had purchased ZeniMax Media for $7.5 billion in cash, with the acquisition being completed on March 9th, 2021.

Two of Bethesda's most well known characters, Vault Boy (the mascot of the Fallout series) and Dragonborn (from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim), serve as the basis for DLC Mii Fighter Costumes in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Camelot Software Planning[]

Camelot Software Planning (legally known as Camelot Co., Ltd.) is a Japanese video game development company based in Tokyo. It was founded in 1990 originally as a division of Sega under the name Sega CD4, and later Sonic! Software Planning, and were tasked with developing the Shining Force series alongside Climax Entertainment for the Sega Genesis. In 1998, the company changed its name to Camelot and broke away from Sega to become a second-party developer to Nintendo. Since then, they have become known as the developers of Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, and Golden Sun, as well as creating fan-favorite character Waluigi.

Two of the company's original characters, Waluigi and Isaac, appear as summonable Assist Trophies since Super Smash Bros. Brawl (with the exception of Isaac, who skipped Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U). Other original characters from Mario Golf and Golden Sun make cameos as a Trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee, as Stickers in Brawl, and as Spirits in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Isaac himself also serves as the basis for a Mii Fighter Costume in Ultimate. Music tracks from Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, and Golden Sun are also available.

Choice Provisions[]

Choice Provisions Inc. (formerly Gaijin Games Inc.) is an American independent video game development studio based in California. The company was founded by Alex Neuse, Mike Roush, and Chris Osborn, all former employees of the now-defunct Santa Cruz Games. Choice Provisions also houses MiniVisions, a mobile phone subsidiary made up of members from the company Robotube. They are best known as the creators of the BIT.TRIP series.

The main protagonist of BIT.TRIP, CommanderVideo, appears as Trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.

CING[]

CING Inc. was a Japanese independent video game development company based in Fukuoka. The company was founded on April 22nd, 1999 and ran by President and CEO Takuya Miyagawa. They developed several small titles for different companies including Nintendo, Capcom, Tecmo, and Marvelous; some of these include Trace Memory, Hotel Dusk: Room 215, and Little King's Story, all of which were critically acclaimed. CING filed for bankruptcy on March 1st, 2010, after struggling to pay their mounting debt (which exceeded to ยฅ256 million).

The protagonists from Trace Memory and Hotel Dusk: Room 215, Ashley Robbins and Kyle Hyde respectively, cameo in both Super Smash Bros. Brawl as Stickers (alongside other characters from their respective games) and Trophies, and as Spirits in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Curve Digital[]

Curve Digital Limited (formally Curve Studios Limited) is a British independent video game publisher and development company based in London. Founded in 2013 by Jason Perkins, the company is known for publishing several indie games for mobile and consoles; notable titles include Human: Fall Flat, Bomber Crew, Lone Survivor, and When Ski Lifts Go Wrong. The company have also developed their own games as well, the most well-known being Fluidity for the WiiWare and its sequel Fluidity: Spin Cycle on the Nintendo 3DS. In January 2016, Curve Digital was acquired by Catalis Group, which itself was sold to NorthEdge Capital in 2019.

The protagonist of the Fluidity series, Eddy, appears as a Trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, and as a Spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Data East[]

Data East

Data East Corporation was a Japanese video game developer based in Suginami, Tokyo. It was founded on April 20th, 1976 by Tetsuo Fukuda, where the company became known throughout the 70s for developing several arcade games, which later expanded onto pinball machines in the late 80s to early 90s; some of the titles they've developed include Glory of Heracles, BurgerTime, Karnov, and Joe & Mac. Though they mostly worked in games, it also engaged in engineering, developing image transmission equipment, data communication adapters for satellite phones, electrocardiogram equipment for ambulances, and portable fax machines. The company stopped producing games in 1999, opting to selling negative ion generators after company restructuring before declaring bankruptcy in 2003, with most of its IPs getting sold to other companies such as G-Mode and Paon DP.

The eponymous Heracles from their Glory of Heracles series makes a cameo as a Spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. A medley of battle themes from Glory of Heracles: Proof of the Soul is also available as a collectible CD.

Digital Extremes[]

Digital Extremes

Digital Extremes is a Canadian video game development studio based in Ontario and is a subsidiary of Leyou Technologies Holdings (who are also partial owners of SNK). The company was founded in 1993 by James Schmalz, a former employee of Epic Games. They are best known as the primary developers of the Unreal series and the free-to-play online shooter Warframe.

The player guide from Warframe, Lotus, was added as a free DLC Spirit through a special Spirit Event in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It can be enhanced into her alternate form, Natah, after reaching Level 99.

Double Eleven[]

Double Eleven is an English video game developer and publisher based in Middlesbrough who are known for porting games onto different systems. It was founded by Lee Hutchinson and Matt Shepcar, two former Rockstar Games employees. They are best known as the creators of LittleBigPlanet for Sony Interactive Studios and Minecraft Dungeons for Mojang Studios as well as publishing Q-Games' PixelJunk Shooter series. They have also become known for porting certain titles such as Limbo, Goat Simulator, and Songbringer to consoles.

Two songs from Minecraft Dungeons, "Halland / Dalarna" and "The Arch-Illager", were remixed for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a part of the Steve Challenger Pack, itself a part of Fighters Pass Volume 2.

Eighting Co., Ltd. (stylized as 8ing, formally known as Raizing) is a Japanese video game development company based in Tokyo. The company started in 1993 and its staff was originally comprised of former employees from Compile and Capcom. They have become known for their work on licensed fighting games, including Castlevania Judgment, Battle Stadium D.O.N., Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars, and Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds; other licensed work include video games based on anime series Naruto, Kamen Rider, and Bleach. For original titles, they are also known for creating the Kururin series for Nintendo.

The company is mainly represented by the Kururin series, with the player vehicle Helirin appearing as a Trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee, a summonable Assist Trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl (as well as a Sticker and in a Trophy with other Action Helirins), and as a Spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Several music tracks from Castlevania Judgment are also included in Ultimate.

Ganbarion[]

Ganbarion Co., Ltd. is a Japanese video game development company based in Fukuoka. Founded in August 1999, they are frequent collaborators with Bandai Namco and anime and manga publisher Shonen Jump to develop games based on the One Piece franchise. They are also known as the creators of Pandora's Tower for Nintendo as well as co-developing for Wii Fit U.

The protagonists of Pandora's Tower, Aeron and Elena, appear as a Trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and as Spirits in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The Wii Fit Trainer as she appears in Wii Fit U also cameos as her own Trophy in for Wii U. A direct rip of the track "Core Luge" and a remix of the main theme, both from Wii Fit U, are also available.

Genki[]

Genki Co., Ltd. is a Japanese video game development company based in Tokyo. It was founded in October 1990 by Hiroshi Hamagaki and Tomo Kimura, two former Sega employees. The company is known for their work on Racing games, most notably the Shutokou Battle series (also known as Tokyo Xtreme Racer outside of Japan). Outside of that, they've also developed several smaller niche titles, such as the real-time strategy game Napoleon for the Game Boy Advance.

One of the secondary characters from Napoleon, Alessandro Inzaghi, makes a cameo as a Spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Good-Feel[]

Good-Feel Co., Ltd. is a Japanese video game development company based in Hyogo. It was founded on October 3rd, 2005 by Etsunobu Ebisu, a former Konami employee. The company is a frequent collaborator with Nintendo as a second-party developer. Initially developing several educational games for the Nintendo DS (such as Looksley's Line Up), they have since become widely known for their works which include Wario Land: Shake It!, Kirby's Epic Yarn, some games for StreetPass Mii Plaza (namely Mii Force, Battleground Z, Slot Car Rivals, and Market Crashers), Yoshi's Woolly World, and Yoshi's Crafted World.

Good-Feel's representation in Smash is greatly tied to its contributions for the Yoshi series; these include the Woolly World stage from Yoshi's Woolly World in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, an alternate costume for Yoshi based on his appearance from Yoshi's Crafted World as well as a Mii Fighter Costume based on Yarn Yoshi in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Spirits of Yarn Yoshi and Yarn Poochy, and both a remix and a direct rip of the Main Theme from Woolly World.

There are other forms of representation outside of the Yoshi series; a direct rip of the track "Ruins" from Wario Land: Shake It! is available; the Captain and Robo-Bone from Mii Force cameo as Trophies in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS; the helmets from Mii Force are available as wearable headgear for Mii Fighters; Prince Fluff from Kirby's Epic Yarn, the Shake King from Wario Land: Shake It!, Looksley from Looksley's Line Up, Gold Bone from Mii Force, and Nico Fire from Slot Car Rivals appear as Spirits in Ultimate.

Google LLC is an American technology company and a subsidiary of tech conglomerate Alphabet. They are widely known for their online-based work, such as the Google search engine and the web browser Google Chrome. They've also branched out into other ventures such as their own social media site named Google+, wearable hardware called Google Glass, the Android operating system, and the Google Stadia cloud-based games console.

In April 2010, Google's Japanese branch partnered with Nintendo to create the party game And-Kensaku, where its minigames are based on real Google search analytics. The host of the game, Ando Kensaku, cameos as a Spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Grasshopper Manufacture[]

Grasshopper Manufacture

Grasshopper Manufacture Inc. is a Japanese independent video game development company based in Tokyo. It was founded in March 30th, 1998 by Goichi Suda (better known as Suda51) and was formerly a subsidiary of GungHo Entertainment after its acquisition in 2013. The company is known for its games with cult followings (such as killer7 for Capcom, Lollipop Chainsaw, and the No More Heroes series) as well as their work on licensed anime such as Samurai Champloo, Blood+, and Neon Genesis Evangelion.

A Mii Fighter Costume modeled after the protagonist of the No More Heroes series, Travis Touchdown, is available as a separately paid DLC for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. A member of the Grasshopper Manufacture sound team, Masafumi Takada, has also contributed two arrangements for Smash, namely "Mike's Song" and "Marionation Gear".

Grezzo[]

Grezzo Co., Ltd. is a Japanese video game development company based in Tokyo. It was founded in December 2006, with former Square Enix employee Koichi Ishii (best known as the creator of the Mana series) as its President and CEO. It is a frequent collaborator with Nintendo, mainly being the team behind the Nintendo 3DS remasters of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Four Swords, and Luigi's Mansion, as well as the Nintendo Switch remake of Link's Awakening. They've also developed a few original titles as well, namely Flower Town for StreetPass Mii Plaza, The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, and Ever Oasis.

Elements from the company's original titles are represented in Smash. Mr. Mendel and Ms. Blossom, the player guides from Flower Town, appear as Trophies in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. Two protagonists from Ever Oasis, Tethu and Esna, appear as Spirits in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, as do Totem Link and Madame Couture from Tri Force Heroes, and Link and the Owl as they appear in the Link's Awakening remake (which were added as free DLC Spirits through a special Spirit Event).

Grounding Inc.[]

Grounding Inc. is a Japanese independent video game development company based in Tokyo's Shibuya Ward. It was formed in 2007 by Yukio Futatsugi, Mineko Okamura, Noboru Hotta, and Toru Hashimoto (all former Sega employees) and are frequent collaborators with Xbox Game Studios and Nintendo; for the former, they are known as the creators of Crimson Dragon, while for the latter they have developed smaller titles such as Pop-Up Pursuit, The Royal Bluff, Nintendouji, and Sakura Spirit: Art of the Sword.

The protagonist of Nintendouji, Kageshina Kurabe, appears as a Trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and as a Spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. A remix of "Boss 1" from Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword is also available in both entries; the game's titular protagonist also cameos as a Spirit in Ultimate.

Headstrong Games[]

Headstrong Games was an English video game development company and former subsidiary of Kuju Entertainment and was based in London. It was formed in 2000 originally under the name Kuju London before rebranding to its current name in 2008. The company became defunct in 2017 after it and sister studio Zoe Mode became amalgamated with its parent company, who were shifting its focus to became a work-for-hire development studio. Prior to the closing, it worked closely with Nintendo to develop the Battalion Wars series and the Art Academy series.

The player guide of Art Academy, Vince, is a Trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and is a summonable Assist Trophy and Spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. A Mii Fighter Costume based on Vince is also available in Ultimate's base game. A direct rip of the song "Swan Lesson" is also included in both entries.

Hudson Soft[]

Hudson Soft

Hudson Soft Co., Ltd. was a Japanese video game development and publishing company, as well as a former console manufacturer. It was founded on May 18th, 1973 by brothers Yuji and Hiroshi Kudo and began as a radio shop before eventually transitioning to selling personal computer-related products and later developing their own video games. In the late-80s to mid-90s, Hudson briefly entered the console market with the release of the TurboGrafix-16, competing with the likes of Nintendo's Famicom, the Sega Genesis, and SNK's Neo Geo AES. In 2011, Hudson Soft became a subsidiary of Konami; the following year, on March 1st, it became fully merged with the company, effectively dissolving the brand with all of its well known intellectual property (Bomberman, Adventure Island, Bonk, Bloody Roar) being inherited by Konami.

As such, they have since become one of the company's many regular collaborators, creating several handheld titles including Electroplankton, Personal Trainer: Cooking, NES Remix, and Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido. They've also partnered with Square Enix on many projects, namely the Theatrhythm series and Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory.

indieszero's major representation is with Electroplankton, as a stage based on the Hanenbow interface appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, with Stickers of the Nanocarp, Volvoice, and Hanenbow interfaces being available in Brawl (the lattermost is also a Spirit in Ultimate). An ambient track directly ripped from Electroplankton, as well as a medley of the interfaces, are also available, as does a direct rip of the title theme from NES Remix 2 and a remix of the title theme from Personal Trainer: Cooking (where the game's Chef also cameos as a Sticker and as a Spirit). The protagonists of Osu! Tatakae! Koei Tecmo Holdings Co., Ltd. is a Japanese video game and anime holding company. It is the result of a 2010 merger between sister companies Koei and Tecmo. Both companies, after inheriting each others' properties, are responsible for creating Dynasty Warriors, Fatal Frame, Nobunaga's Ambition, Nioh, Ninja Gaiden, and Dead or Alive. In recent history, Koei Tecmo have also partnered with several other studios as a contract developer; these have resulted in the Hyrule Warriors series and Fire Emblem Warriors for Nintendo, and Persona 5 Strikers for Atlus.

Several protagonists from the Fatal Frame series have made their way into Smash. These include Mayu from Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir and Mio & Mayu Amakura from Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly, who appear as Trophies in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and Yuri Kozukata from Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water being a summonable Assist Trophy in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (where Mio & Mayu return as a Spirit). Four characters Koei Tecmo created for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity (a younger Impa, the Diminutive Guardian, and Master Kohga) were added as free DLC Spirits through a special Spirit Event in Super Smash Bros. Marigul Management Inc. was a Japanese video game management company, which was a joint venture between Nintendo and Recruit. It was primarily responsible for providing funds and services to its development subsidiaries Ambrella, Clever Trick, NOISE Inc., Param, and Saru Brunei. The company was liquidated in May 2003, with its internal teams being dissolved or made independent; of the five, only Ambrella and NOISE survived (though the former would later be acquired and dissolved by Creatures).

Most of Marigul's representation is with NOISE Inc.'s Custom Robo series; Ray Mk III, the main character of Custom Robo, is a summonable Assist Trophy in Super Smash Bros. It's known for its work developing and publishing indie games, with notable titles including Rune Factory, God Eater 3, Skullgirls, Fate/Extella, and DAEMON X MACHINA. Its also gained popularity for its anime, producing series such as Senran Kagura, Tokyo Ghoul, and The Seven Deadly Sins.

Four characters from DAEMON X MACHINA (Radiant Gleam, Kloster (Grief), Bullet Walker (Brigadier General), and High Line (Gun Empress)) were added as free DLC Spirits through a special Spirit Event in Ultimate.

The assistant from the SNES version of SimCity, Dr. Wright, is a summonable Assist Trophy since Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Though his home series is owned by a third-party company, he himself is owned by Nintendo through a technicality.

It was founded on March 1st, 2000 originally as a joint venture between Nintendo and advertising firm Dentsu, hence the ND in the name (Nintendo and Dentsu), and is staffed by former members of Hudson Soft. In 2015, Nintendo became the majority owner of the company after purchasing the shares from Dentsu and other shareholders. NDcube is primarily known for creating party games, having taken over development of the Mario Party series from Hudson Soft following its dissolution. Other notable titles include Wii Party, Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival, and Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics.

Several music tracks from NDcube's Mario Party entries have made their way to Smash; these include "Pandemonium" from Mario Party 9, and the title theme and "Rocket Road" from Mario Party: Island Tour. Skip Ltd. is a Japanese video game development company based in Tokyo's Shibuya Ward. It is one of Nintendo's frequent collaborators, working as a second-party developer. They are perhaps best known as the creators of Chibi-Robo!, Captain Rainbow, bit Generations, and GiFTPiA.

The eponymous Chibi-Robo makes appearances throughout Smash as a Trophy and a Sticker in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and as a Spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. A Mii Fighter Costume modeled after Chibi-Robo is also available in Ultimate. Several other characters also make cameo appearances as Trophies, Stickers, or Spirits (namely Telly, Papa, Chibi-Tot, Drake Redcrest, and Super Chibi-Robo). Other notable titles they've developed also include Mole Mania, Hajimari no Mori, and Hamtaro; they've also assisted development on Mother/EarthBound Beginnings, Mother 2/EarthBound, and Pokรฉmon Snap. They currently work as an independent company, developing games exclusively for the Asian market.

Founded on June 19th, 1995, the company was formerly known for wrestling games throughout the 90s and 2000s, mainly with the Virtual Pro Wrestling series and their collaborations with World Championship Wrestling. Following a company rename and restructure in 2007, it has since shifted its focus into making games for young girls such as PriPara and the Style Savvy series (also known as Nintendo presents: New Style Boutique and Wagamama Fashion: Girls Mode).

Evie, the shop owner from the Japanese and PAL versions of Style Savvy: Trendsetters, appears as a Trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS (where she is erroneously mistaken for Michaela, a completely different character from Trendsetters). A Shop Assistant from the first Style Savvy appears as a Spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Three music tracks from the series are also available ("Pop Fashion Show", "Ring a Ding / Ring! Dong! Dang!", and a remix of the Trendsetters theme).

Taito Corporation is a Japanese video game development company, game center manager, and toy maker. It was founded in August 24th, 1953 by Ukranian businessman Michael Kogan originally as a trading company. Following a shift of focus in 1972, Taito has since been considered to be one of the most influential companies in gaming history, being the creator of several classic arcade titles such as Space Invaders, Bubble Bobble, Arkanoid, and Darius that have since become staples in global pop-culture. In 2005, the company was purchased by Square Enix, making them a wholly owned subsidiary.

The protagonist of the Taito-developed Wii game Takt of Magic, Orville, makes a cameo as a Spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Several members of Taito's in-house sound department Zunata have also contributed several remixes for Smash; these tracks include "Staff Credits", "Kapp'n's Song", "Splattack!", "We're Robots (Dr. Wily Stage 2)", "Wii Shop Channel", and "The Mysterious Murasame Castle Medley".

Toby Fox (also known by his online pseudonyms FwugRadiation and simply Radiation) is an American video game developer and composer. He gained prominence in the gaming industry as the sole developer and musician for the indie game Undertale as well as the composer for the online webcomic Homestuck. His musical talents have since been lent to other Japanese projects, namely Game Freak's Little Town Hero and Pokรฉmon Sword and Shield. He is currently developing the sequel to Undertale, titled Deltarune.

One of the fan-favorite characters from Undertale, Sans, serves as the basis for a separately paid DLC Mii Fighter Costume in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which also comes with a remix of the track "MEGALOVANIA", arranged by Fox himself.

Founded in 1979, the company has gained notoriety in the industry for being a "ghost developer", having developed or co-developed over 1,000 titles through the course of its history but choose to go uncredited; on the very rare occasion they are credited, it is often with the Game & Watch Gallery series, The Legendary Starfy series, and Super Princess Peach.

The eponymous Starfy has appeared as a summonable Assist Trophy since the item's introduction in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Several other characters from The Legendary Starfy also appear as Stickers in Brawl and as Spirits in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate; these include Starly, Herman, Moe, Mattel, and Chonmagyo. Peach's companion from Super Princess Peach, Perry, also cameos as a Sticker, a Trophy in Brawl, and as a Spirit.

Though first started to focus on original titles, they quickly came into prominence with their collaborations with other companies to make licensed titles; these include Sonic 3D Blast and Sonic R for Sega, Crash Twinsanity for Vivendi, games based on Mickey Mouse and Pixar films for Disney, and the LEGO video games for Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, as well as LEGO City Undercover for Nintendo.

The original song they crafted for Sonic R, "Super Sonic Racing", appears as a collectible CD in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

The protagonist of Sin & Punishment, Saki Amamiya, is a summonable Assist Trophy in both Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. It was founded in Match 28th, 1986 by the Guillemot family originally as a support business for farmers, which later shifted to selling electronics. Having become the fourth largest publicly traded game company in the West, Ubisoft is best known for its multiple gaming franchises; these include Rayman, Raving Rabbids, Tom Clancy's, Prince of Persia, Assassin's Creed, Just Dance, Watch Dogs, and Far Cry. Ubisoft also has its own internal film and television division, having produced the 2016 film based on Assassin's Creed and the television series Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet.

As of July 2020, the company and its worldwide branches have come under fire following a wave of sexual misconduct allegations, where several of its creative leads and top executives have since been fired or volunatrily left the company after several internal investigations. Beyond sexual misconduct, several employees have also shared testimonies regarding its toxic workspace and rampant misogyny. Ubisoft and its current CEO, Yves Guillemot, have since released numerous public apologies and reports regarding what they have been doing to better protect its employees; though on June 2021, several news outlets reported that employees felt nothing had changed since the implementation of new guidelines.

Rayman, Globox, and Barbara as they appear in Rayman Legends make cameos as Trophies in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U; Rayman would later return as a Spirit in Super Smash Bros. Dillon's companions Gallo, Boone, and Nomad cameo as a Trophy in for 3DS, as does Russ who appears as a Spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Two music tracks from the series are also available, namely the title theme from Dillon's Rolling Western: The Last Ranger and "Frontier Battle" from Dillon's Dead-Heat Breakers. Stickers of Tingle, Barkle, and Pinkle from Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy-Rupeeland also appear in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Much like Q-Games, it was founded by Giles Goddard, another former employee of Argonaut Games who also assisted Nintendo with programming X and Star Fox. They are best known for developing the Steel Diver series and Tank Troopers for the Nintendo 3DS.

The company's major representation is with Steel Diver item, a firearm modeled after the BlueShark submarine. Other submarines, namely the Manatee and the Serpent, appear as a Trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. A track from Steel Diver: Sub Wars, "Filled with Hope", is also available, as does the song "Garage" from Tank Troopers.

They're also known for their work on licensed games based on popular animated series such as SpongeBob SquarePants and Adventure Time.

The eponymous Shantae and series antagonist Risky Boots cameo as Spirits in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Shantae herself would later become the basis for a DLC Mii Fighter Costume, which also comes with a direct rip of the track "Burning Town" from Shantae: Half-Genie Hero.
