Kirby Beat Classic Mode with Kirby.
KirbyTrophyWiiU
The Beginning of Kirby Flag of North America Pudgy, little Kirby lives in the peaceful hills of Dream Land on the Planet Popstar. He can inhale things with his big mouth, either copying their abilities or spitting them out again. In Smash Bros., Kirby can inhale opponents and copy their standard specials. He gets launched easily but recovers well.
Flag of Europe A roly-poly little fella from Dream Land on Planet Popstar. He can inhale pretty much anyone or anything with that big gob of his, then spit them out or copy their abilities. He can copy opponents' standard specials in this game, too! His light weight means he gets launched easily, but with a series of mid-air jumps, recovering's not too tricky.

  • Kirby Super Star (08/1996)
Kirby (Alt.) Purchase from the Trophy Shop after beating Classic or All-Star Mode with Kirby.
KirbyAltTrophyWiiU
N/A Flag of North America Holding the special button and left or right will charge up Kirby's Hammer Flip attack. Charging too long hurts Kirby! The hammer strikes twice in the air, but landing the single blow on the ground is more powerful. Kirby's up special Final Cutter slices up and down, firing a shock wave upon landing.
Flag of Europe Charge up Kirby's Hammer side special to unleash Hammer Flip, a move with serious launch power. Charge it too much, though, and you'll get hurt! The move hits twice in mid-air, but does more damage on the ground. Final Cutter slices up and down before sending out an energy wave. Move Kirby mid-jump to change where he lands.
  • Kirby's Dream Land (08/1992)
  • Kirby Super Star (08/1996)
Ultra Sword Beat All-Star Mode with Kirby.
UltraSwordTrophyWiiU
The Beginning of Kirby Flag of North America For Kirby's Final Smash, he swings a sword that's waaay bigger than he is. If the first swing hits, he'll keep going with a combo of lightning-fast slices, dealing tons of damage. For the last swing, the sword grows even larger and launches any victims. Make sure that first swing hits, though, or nothing else will happen!
Flag of Europe For Kirby's Final Smash, he swings around a sword that's waaay bigger than he is. If the first swing hits, he'll keep going with a combo of lightning-fast slices, dealing tons of damage. For the last swing, the sword grows even larger and launches its target. It's great, so make sure that first swing hits, or none of the rest will happen!
Meta Knight Beat Classic Mode with Meta Knight.
MetaKnightTrophyWiiU
Kirby's Adventure Flag of North America Kirby's mysterious rival, this masked swordsman appears in several Kirby games. His cape transforms into wings to grant him flight. In Smash Bros., his quick sword skills and aerial agility set him apart. He can jump up to six times in a row, and he has a special move to soar higher.
Flag of Europe A mysterious masked swordsman from the Kirby series. His cape can turn into wings, which gives him the ability to fly. His swift swordplay and ability to stay in the air give him an edge in this game. He can combine five mid-air jumps with a special move to make recovering a cinch. If you use him, try to keep the battle airborne!

Galaxia Darkness Beat All-Star Mode with Meta Knight.
GalaxiaDarknessTrophyWiiU
Kirby's Adventure Flag of North America Meta Knight swings his cape to ensnare foes. Darkness falls, enveloping them in an empty void, and then a giant sword slash cleaves the blackness. If the cape doesn't capture anyone, this Final Smash will fail. It has more range than you might think, though, and you only have to catch one foe to deal damage to everyone!
Flag of Europe Meta Knight swings his cape to ensnare foes. Darkness falls, enveloping them in an empty void, and then a giant sword slash cleaves the blackness. If the cape doesn't capture anyone, the Final Smash will fail. It has more range than you might think, though, and as long as it catches at least one foe, everyone will take damage!
King Dedede Beat Classic Mode with King Dedede.
KingDededeTrophyWiiU
Residents of Dream Land Flag of North America He calls himself the King of Dream Land, but he doesn't have a lot of interest in ruling. He really loves to eat, so it's no surprise he's a heavyweight fighter. Despite his size and low speed, he can easily recover with his five jumps. His Jet Hammer will leave a mark on everyone he meets.
Flag of Europe Being a self-proclaimed king, Dedede clearly doesn't care too much about the whole "politics" thing. He's just a bit greedy. In this game, his weight and hefty hammer make him slow, but he can still jump four times in mid-air anyway, making it easy for him to get back to the stage. Fully charge his Jet Hammer for ultimate destruction.
  • Kirby's Dream Land (08/1992)
  • Kirby: Triple Deluxe (05/2014)
King Dedede (Alt.) Purchase from the Trophy Shop after beating Classic or All-Star Mode with King Dedede.
KingDededeAltTrophyWiiU
N/A Flag of North America For the Gordo Throw side special, King Dedede sends a Gordo bouncing with a hammer strike. It bounces off walls—or sometimes gets stuck in them. After a while it'll disappear. If an enemy hits the Gordo, it'll bounce back toward you. Use the special again to whack it back at them!
Flag of Europe For the Gordo Throw side special, King Dedede hits a Gordo with his hammer, sending it bouncing along the stage. It'll bounce off walls, or sometimes get stuck in them. Dedede Burst Beat All-Star Mode with Dedede.
DededeBurstTrophyWiiU
Residents of Dream Land Flag of North America For Dedede's Final Smash, he takes a deep breath, pulling his foes toward him. Once he's gotten them right where he wants them, he'll unleash blows from his giant burning hammer. Topping things off is an explosive from the end of the hammer, sending enemies flying. Could this be worse for his foes? Yes! He's invincible the whole time too!
Flag of Europe For Dedede's Final Smash, he inhales fiercely to pull foes towards him. Once he's got them right where he wants them, he thrashes them with a giant burning hammer. Then, to top it off, he fires an explosive from his hammer, sending them blasting off. Could it get any worse? Well... yes – Dedede's invincible the entire time.
Dragoon Random
DragoonTrophyWiiU
N/A Flag of North America Collect parts A, B, and C to assemble the legendary Air Ride machine known as the Dragoon. Take careful aim, and then ride it toward your target. A hit will send enemies flying out of the battle. Taking damage before you've collected all the parts can knock them from your grasp, however.
Flag of Europe Collect parts A, B and C to assemble the legendary Air Ride machine Dragoon, which you can use to fly into an opponent. Aim well and they'll be long gone. If you're the one being aimed at, though, get out of the way, stat! By the way, if another player has one of the parts, attack them to steal it!
  • Kirby Air Ride (10/2003)
Maxim Tomato Random
MaximTomatoTrophyWiiU
The Beginning of Kirby Flag of North America A tomato marked with a large, black M. This is Kirby's favorite snack, and in the past it has fully restored Kirby's health. The ones that show up in Smash Bros. aren't from the same crop, though, and only heal 50 points of damage. That'll still help you in a fight—unless an enemy eats it first.
Flag of Europe A big, juicy tomato with the letter M on it. In the Kirby series, it's Kirby's favourite treat, and it heals damage completely. Sadly, in this game, it only takes 50 off your damage, but it's still a hot item among badly hurt players...and players who just want to stop others from getting it!
  • Kirby's Dream Land (08/1992)
  • Kirby Super Star (08/1996)
Warp Star Random
WarpStarTrophyWiiU
The Beginning of Kirby Flag of North America A magical transportation device that Kirby uses to get around during his adventures. In Smash Bros., jumping on one will send you high into the sky and then crashing back down to the battlefield. Anyone caught in its path or landing spot will be sent flying, and the rider can even aim it a bit!
Flag of Europe In the Kirby series, Warp Stars carry Kirby from one spot in a stage to another. In this game, pick it up to shoot high into the air and then slam back down to bowl over your opponents. You can control where you land by shifting left or right while in the air, but it takes some practice!

  • Kirby Super Star (08/1996)
Superspicy Curry Random
SuperspicyCurryTrophyWiiU
The Beginning of Kirby Flag of North America Hope you're a fan of spicy food, because this curry will set your mouth on fire! I'm not kidding—whoever eats this will actually shoot balls of fire from his or her mouth, hurting those who get too close. Water doesn't help with spiciness, so this works underwater too! Too bad there's no milk weapon...
Flag of Europe You think you know spicy curries? Think again! One taste of this one and your mouth will literally be on fire. Not even diving into water will help! Your opponents might laugh, but they'll soon stop when you start breathing fire in their direction, now won't they?
  • Kirby's Dream Land (08/1992)
Star Rod Random
StarRodTrophyWiiU
Kirby's Adventure Flag of North America Swung normally, this item will deal a regular physical attack. But if you charge up the blow, it becomes a magic wand that launches stars! The Star Rod is the source of power for the Fountain of Dreams in Kirby's Adventure. Using the rod, Kirby was able to defeat Nightmare.
Flag of Europe Attack normally and you may as well just be swinging any old stick around, but if you deliver a hefty blow with it, this magic wand will launch a shooting star! The Star Rod powers the Fountain of Dreams, and Kirby once used it to defeat the evil Nightmare when he appeared from the fountain in Kirby's Adventure.

Flag of Europe This terrible being came from the Fountain of Dreams, bringing bad dreams to all of Dream Land. King Dedede sealed him away by shattering the Star Rod, but when Kirby restored it, Nightmare was able to come back. In this game, he shrouds the stage in darkness, making it impossible for the fighters to see.

If you summon him, he'll leap toward the enemy nearest you and unleash his powerful Vulcan Jab attack. He'll then finish off his target with a devastating Smash Punch or Rising Break.
Flag of Europe When Kirby copies this expert in all martial arts, he becomes a pro at hand-to-hand combat. Release Knuckle Joe in this game, and he'll jump towards the enemy nearest to you and unleash his mighty Vulcan Jab, then finish them off with a devastating Smash Punch or Rising Break!

Residents of Dream Land Flag of North America This enemy looks rather like a mushroom... until Kirby tries to inhale him, that is—then his cap comes off and reveals the true form he's so cunningly been concealing. It might not be much of a surprise these days, though—Cappy's been around since the very first Kirby game. He's more like an old friend than an enemy at this point.

Whispy Woods Random
WhispyWoodsTrophyWiiU
The Beginning of Kirby Flag of North America Whispy Woods lives deep in the forest, waiting patiently for Kirby to stop by so he can share his delicious apples with the pink hero... That's not true at all, actually. Instead, he drops apples on Kirby, trying to cause him injury. He may look friendly, but remember what they say: don't judge a tree by its bark.
Flag of Europe In the heart of a beautiful green forest, Whispy Woods is waiting to give Kirby some juicy red apples. Isn't that nice? Well...not really, since he drops them on Kirby's head like bombs. If that wasn't bad enough, he'll also suck up the pink puffball and blast him with air. Note to self: be more wary of trees with faces.

  • Kirby's Return to Dream Land (10/2011)
Apples Random
ApplesTrophyWiiU
The Beginning of Kirby Flag of North America This isn't an enemy at all. It's just an apple. Still, they're something to watch out for—Whispy Woods will try to hit you on the head with them. Some enemies like to roll around on them too. Apples come in two varieties—one gives you health, and the other you can throw. And, needless to say, Kirby's favorite food is... Oh, it's tomatoes.

Sword Kirby Random / Clear the "Four Swords Adventures" event
SwordKirbyTrophyWiiU
Copy Kirby! Flag of North America That green cap sure does make Kirby look heroic, doesn't it? Maybe wearing it just inspires Kirby, but while he's wearing it, he gets all kinds of neat moves, like Spin Slash, Multisword Attack, and Sword Dive. He's even able to pull off these moves in the air, on the ground, or underwater!
Flag of Europe Kirby looks like a pretty courageous hero in that green cap, doesn't he? Indeed, this Kirby is a master of sword-swishing, fending off enemies with the powerful Spin Slash, the rapid Multisword Attack and the stylish Sword Dive. If that wasn't impressive enough, he can also use these moves on land, in mid-air AND underwater. Beautiful!
  • Kirby's Adventure (05/1993)

Beam Kirby Random
BeamKirbyTrophyWiiU
Copy Kirby! Flag of North America Waddle Doo can fire beams from his eye. Does that make you green with envy? Then inhale him and copy that ability! You'll then be able to shoot beams from a wand, and the attack can even be charged up for greater effectiveness. You can also use a beam to push switches or to grab and toss your foes.
Flag of Europe Ever felt jealous of a Waddle Doo's ability to fire beams from its eye? Well, if you're Kirby, there's really no need – swallow one and you, too, can swing energy beams to your heart's content! Charge them up to plough through multiple enemies at once, use them to grab and throw enemies, and even press switches through walls! Yeah!

Fire Kirby Clear the "Kirby's Crazy Appetite" event on hard difficulty.
FireKirbyTrophyWiiU
Copy Even More Kirby! Flag of North America When Kirby first copied the Fire ability, he was only able to breathe fire. Nowadays, he can do all sorts of neat things! For example, he can engulf himself in flames and roll forward, burning grass, lighting fuses, melting ice, and so on. What we'd really like him to do, though, is help us make the perfect s'more. Mmmmm.
Flag of Europe Once upon a time, all Fire Kirby could do was shoot flames from his mouth, but he's come a long way since then. Now he can roll along the ground as a blazing fireball, burn up grass, light fuses, melt ice and so on. That's great and all, but what we really want to know is...can he help us get a barbecue going?

Ice Kirby Random
IceKirbyTrophyWiiU
Copy Even More Kirby! Flag of North America The perfect ability to copy in the summer—Kirby gains freezing breath when he copies the Ice ability. Enemies frozen by his arctic blasts can be launched at other foes too. Perfect for a tough fight or when you need some ice for your iced coffee. Kirby isn't busy saving Dream Land or anything...
Flag of Europe When Kirby has the Ice ability, he can blast enemies with glacial gales to freeze them. He can then kick them into other enemies to take them all out at once! It's the perfect ability for a tough fight...or for when you need some ice to keep a glass of fruit juice nicely chilled. Not everything has to be about saving Dream Land, you know!

  • Kirby Super Star (08/1996)
Needle Kirby Random
NeedleKirbyTrophyWiiU
Copy Kirby! Flag of North America Kirby normally looks as tasty as a big ol' marshmallow, but he's significantly less appetizing when he's copied the Needle ability. Those pokey spikes won't add any flavor at all. With this ability, Kirby can bash into enemies or launch the spikes at them. A great, easy-to-use ability!
Flag of Europe Kirby's soft, fluffy and just...so huggable! Except when he's got the Needle ability, that is – then it's like there's a hug-free zone all around him. Being covered in spikes comes in handy, though, for rolling into enemies, and even shooting at them! However, whether that really makes up for his loss of huggableness is hard to say...

Flag of Europe Kirby isn't much of a talker, but if you ever do want to hear his voice, here's a simple solution: swallow a Walky or Mr. Tick-Tock, and you'll be rewarded with an ability called Mike! Watch in awe as Kirby pulls out a microphone (or a megaphone) and shakes your soul with his dulcet tones. For some reason, his enemies can't stand the sound!

N/A Flag of North America The Lor Starcutter is a ship that sails across the universe. The ship’s parts, scattered all across Dream Land following its crash landing, were all collected with the help of Kirby and the gang. Some of the parts, like the emblem, mast, oars, and wings, serve as more than just ship parts. You'll find out why later.
Flag of Europe A spacefaring vessel that travels among the stars. Though its parts got scattered all across Dream Land, they were safely reassembled thanks to Kirby and friends. It's actually more powerful than it looks – the emblem fires star-shaped projectiles, the mast can create tornadoes, and even its oars and wings can be fired as weapons.

Notes[]

  • The Halberd and Combo Cannon trophies appear exclusively on the 3DS version despite both elements relating to a Wii U exclusive stage.
  • Walky's trophy incorrectly lists Kirby's Adventure as one of his appearances, when he did not appear in said game. A similar mistake was made in Brawl.
  • Moonja is an enemy in Kirby's Return to Dream Land that wields the Ninja ability. This name (among those of other enemies introduced in this game) was never revealed in any western media pertaining to the game (its Japanese name is Tsukikage), thus marking SSB4 the first instance of such.
