Trivia[]
- Fatal Fury is one of two universes to have tracks from other games from its parent company to be available in its tracklist, the other being Pac-Man.
- According to Masahiro Sakurai, the large tracklist was a result of SNK surprisingly approving all 50 of their music proposals, instead of the expected 10 or 20.
- Because of this 50-song tracklist, Fatal Fury:
- Has the highest amount of songs out of all the third-party universes
- Has the third highest-amount of songs in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, trailing behind Fire Emblem and Super Mario.
- Is tied with Mega Man for having the most new remixes in Ultimate, at 17.
- Because of this 50-song tracklist, Fatal Fury:
- "Haremar Faith Capoeira School - Song of the Fight (Believers Will Be Saved) - FATAL FURY" is the longest title in Smash, at 88 characters long.
- The title "Tarkun and Kitapy" refers to the credited pseudonyms of the two original members of the SNK Sound Team; "Tarkun" refers to Toshikazu Tanaka, and "Kitapy" refers to Yoshihiko Kitamura (his full credit name being "Jojouha-Kitapy").
- According to one of Masahiro Sakurai's bi-weekly columns for Famitsu magazine, both versions of "Psycho Soldier Theme" were recorded 6 months ahead of release and that 80 individual tracks went into the final mix of the song.
- The original versions of "ART of FIGHT", "Banquet of Nature", and "Stormy Saxophone 2", as well as the opening movie theme to The King of Fighters '94 were all used in Terry's reveal trailer but are not available in Ultimate itself.
