Latias and Latios are fictional creatures in the Pokemon franchise. They appear in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a 2-in-1 Poké Ball Pokémon.
Creature description
Sporting the same structures of jet-like "dragons", Latios and Latias are twin Pokémon. Latias is red and calm. Latios is blue and aggressive (which is usually considered opposite for these colors). They were the only Legendary Pokémon to have gender, although this changed with the introduction of Generation IV Pokémon Cresselia and Heatran. Latias are always female, whilst Latios are always male.
Introduced in the 3rd generation, the player could catch one of them after defeating the the Elite 4 and the other from a special event involving the Eon Ticket. The would-be-caught Lati is dependent on what version you have; Latias for Sapphire and Latios for Ruby, (although in Emerald you could choose by a television report).
Both Lati's bear a special attack unique to them only, Mist Ball and Luster Purge respectively.
