The Killing Edge serves as a battering item attacking when the sword glows pink doubles the damage and launch power. The sound from Fire Emblem's Gameboy Advance plays if the latter hit connects.
The Killing Edge is a sword that recurrently appears in the Fire Emblem series, since its debut title. It is notable as one of several "killer" weapons (i.e. high critical hit chance). In the Fire Emblem series, a critical hit causes a weapon to deal three times its base damage, a trait that is reflected in Smash Bros. in the form of increasing damage and knockback when the sword is glowing. The Killing Edge's design in Ultimate appears to combine The Blazing Blade's overall design with and Fire Emblem Awakening's color scheme of the sword hilt. Additionally, weapons will glow pink during critical hit animations from Awakening onward.
- Despite the glowing portion being meant to reflect a critical hit, it lacks the Marth and Lucina's Final smash 's OHKO properties.
