Hyper Rocket Barrel is Diddy Kong’s Final Smash in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, replacing his previous Final Smash, Rocketbarrel Barrage. Unlike its predecessor, it cannot be controlled very easily.

Overview

With Transformation-type Final Smashes being removed entirely from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Rocketbarrel Barrage needed a reworking. Renaming it Hyper Rocket Barrel, Diddy Kong dons the Rocket Barrels and flies all across the stage, hitting the other players. After roughly three seconds of carpet bombing, Diddy Kong traps a single target, colliding solidly and sometimes being an OHKO on smaller stages. Dodging Diddy's flight path is almost impossible, because it covers the entirety of most stages, including bigger ones. Additionally, the rocket barrel goes through walls, and goes for the player with the most damage taken.
