Head-On Assault (くい打ちヘッドバット) is one of Mii Brawler's three Down Special Moves and is also their default Down Special Move. The Mii Brawler leaps up, flips upside down, and then spins straight down headfirst into the ground, burying anyone they hit.

In Ultimate, the move has a few changes overall, it's a corkscrewing headbutt that hits multiple times, and it no longer buries enemies upon landing, it launches them diagonally upwards. While it removes its combo setup utility, it has a better function as an attack.

Overview[]

Strengths:

  • Buries opponents; combo/kill set-up
  • Edge-guarding
  • Good launch

Weaknesses:

  • Can SD
  • Leaves Mii Brawler open if it misses

Head-On Assault is a good move if a player likes to trap opponents with a move and then follow up with a combo or a powerful kill move. It buries opponents if it hits them on the ground, setting up plenty of combo options and kill opportunities. If Mii Brawler misses, they can be easily punished. It can be used as an edge-guarding tool by jumping up in the air and then using it as the opponent gets close to the edge, hitting them with the move and launching them away or even burying them. The move can easily SD if you use the grounded version of it near an edge or off-stage.
