Hammer (move)

The Hammer is Kirby's Smash B move, introduced in Super Smash Bros. Melee as were all other Smash B moves.

Kirby swings his hammer from his Hammer ability. On the ground, he swings it horizontally (as opposed to the games where he swings it vertically over his head to the ground in front of him), however, in midair, he swings it vertically, more like in the games. This is altered in Super Smash Bros. Brawl; he now swings it horizontally both on the ground in midair. While be used in midair, Kirby spins twice instead of once (as he does on the ground), and the hammer appears to be set aflame, akin to one of Kirby's attacks as Hammer Kirby.
