The Ghosts (モンスターズ Monsutāzu?, Monsters in Japan) are enemy characters from the Pac-Man series. They lock their sights on Pac-Man, chasing him to no end. However, their role in future Pac-Man games varies.

Ghosts[]

The ghosts differ in their personality:

  • Blinky (アカベエ Akabee?) - A bad-tempered and mean red ghost, leader of the four Ghosts.
  • Inky (アオスケ Aosuke?) - A shy and goofy blue ghost.
  • Pinky (ピンキー?) - A mischievous and tricky pink ghost.
  • Clyde (グズタ Guzuta?) - A cowardly orange ghost.

In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U[]

The Ghosts appear as an Assist Trophy that makes them scatter and move around the screen, harming opponents that touch them. After being on the screen for a while they will go much faster before finally disappearing. They also appear in the Pac-Maze and as part of Pac-Man's smash attacks.

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, they behave the same way, but can be destroyed. The ghosts have their own health bars, and when one of them is defeated, every ghost flees.

Trophy Description[]

Ghosts (PAC-MAN)[]

Each of the four types of ghost in PAC-MAN behaves a bit differently. In Smash Bros., they appear in 8-bit form and move around the stage in their own quirky way, tormenting the fighters. The longer they chase you, the faster they move--and even if you get a Power Pellet and defeat them, they'll be back soon enough!

TURN-TO-BLUE[]

The colorful ghosts in PAC-MAN generally act as pursuers, chasing down the hero as he searches for food. But feed the hero a Power Pellet, and now it's the ghosts' turn to run! They take on this new form as they run for their ghostly lives. In Smash Bros., these scaredy-ghosts will appear in the PAC-MAZE stage if you grab a Power Pellet.

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[]

The ghosts reappeared as assist trophies again, if they get defeated, they turned blue and flee away.
