Matches begin at the marketplace in front of the doors to the main building. There are booths in front of the side blast zones, but they can be broken if someone flies past near their location, the wind tearing them apart. Three members of Blue Lions, Dimitri, Ingrid and Dedue will appear in the background here.
Next, the stage transitions to the reception hall. The reception hall has tables that function similarly to the signs at Suzaku Castle, as well as chandeliers that fighters can stand on, but they are also breakable. Edelgard, Dorothea and Petra of the Black Eagles will appear in this part of the stage.
Following the the reception hall, the stage moves to the bridge. The bridge is the simplest part of the stage, with no features that fighters can interact with. Claude, Lorenz, and Hilda of the Golden Deer show up in the background here. The Omega and Battlefield forms lie here.
The final part of the monastery is the cathedral. It features two soft platforms floating above the ground at the left and rights sides. Rhea, Seteth and Flayn are the background character in this part of the stage. Hazards off locks the battle to here.
When the stage changes from one part of the map to the next, a hard platform will appear on the ground, before rising to the sky and descending to the next part of the map. The transitions eliminate the walk-offs. Players can get a view of the landscape.
Garreg Mach Monastery is located in the continent of Fódlan and serves as the headquarters of the Church of Seiros and Officers Academy. It is the main setting of the beginning Fire Emblem: Thre Houses and serves as a neutral location where the nobility of Fódlan send their children to learn about military tactics, among other subjects.
- Strangely Star KO's seem to change their viability throughout the match. The Star KO will be banned during the Marketplace and Cathedral phases, but viable in other areas.
