A remix of this track was first made in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, titled "King K Rool / Ship Deck 2." It starts off with an accordion playing the beginning of the track in a shanty-like composition. During the second half of the track, the melody transitions into a hard rock, looping back to the beginning when the track ends. This track returns in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate under the same name.
A second remix was made in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a part of King K. Rool's character theme involving trumpets and electric guitars, and is more upbeat than the one in Brawl. The Ultimate rendition of the track also includes a rap during the second loop of the track. King K. Rool's victory fanfare also uses a higher pitched variation of the same tune. Two versions were created in Ultimate: the fully looped one, and an abridged shorter one. Both versions, however, still contain the rap during the second portion of each version.
You can do it, whelpBa, na na na, na na na na na na na na
You can claw ‘em, gnaw 'em, stone 'em, beat 'em
I’ll do this with my mind, you just obey ME!
And do you stammer, stammer, seein’ my eye?
You better star me, steam me, see me, scrub me,
feed me my pie!
You ready already, or wheezy oh?
And bestial crushin’, easy though
And total-ly the very top D-N-A, now!
You need a shanty, shanty, shanty: a song
You’re an extremely scary regent that conquers us all,
Ba, na na na, na na na na na na na na
Ba, na na na, na na na na na na na na na
- Gangplank Galleon, the title of the track is based on, is the name of King K. Rool's pirate ship appearing as the final level in Donkey Kong Country.
