Gamer is a new stage introduced in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and returning in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

The stage has a table and books as platforms. These books vary in placement each time the stage is played on. Sometimes Mom (originally called 5-Volt) will appear in some parts of the stage. She mustn't find the players, or else she will blow them away with a devastating attack. If a player is below the shadows, he or she will not be spotted. Occasionally the stage will try to fool players by distracting them with an old man outside or a cat in the doorway.

Gamer (Game & Wario)

The stage is completely based on a mini-game from Game & Wario, in this minigame, the player controls 9-Volt and plays mini games while pretending to sleep from 5-Volt, his mom, when she is about to come into his room from either the door, TV, or window. The game is over when the player:

  • Is caught by 5-Volt
  • Fails a mini-game
  • Causes 9-Volt to fall asleep

  • Along with Temple, Gamer was planned to be an unlockable stage in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. The message that would have been shown when it was unlocked was, "Unlocked the Gamer stage! Beware the mother's gaze!"
