The stage has a table and books as platforms. These books vary in placement each time the stage is played on. Sometimes Mom (originally called 5-Volt) will appear in some parts of the stage. If she sees the players, she will blow them away with a devastating attack. If a player is below the shadows, they will not be spotted by 5-Volt. Occasionally the stage will try to fool players by distracting them with an old man outside or a cat in the doorway. In the stage's Omega and Battlefield forms, 5-Volt does not attack, and the stage has been cleared for the former, while books are arranged in a pattern similar to the soft platforms in Battlefield (and act like them).
Gamer - This song does not play if 5-Volt is not watching, but only in the normal form.

The stage is completely based on a mini-game from Game & Wario and WarioWare Gold. In this minigame, the player controls 9-Volt and plays microgames while pretending to sleep in order to prevent getting caught by 5-Volt, his mom, when she is about to come into his room from either the door, TV, or window. The game is over when the player:
The Omega form of Gamer. 5-Volt doesn't appear, so go wild!
Gamer in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Along with Temple, Gamer was planned to be an unlockable stage in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. The message that would have been shown when it was unlocked was, "Unlocked the Gamer stage! Beware the mother's gaze!"
5-Volt's appears is not changed for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a stage hazard, but as a spirit, she sports her red hoodie and trousers from WarioWare: Gold.
