Forums: Index Brawl Talk Do you think Olimar is a good or bad character?

It has come to my attention that a handful of people think Olimar is a weak character. After taking a look at a few of the tier list I noticed that he was at the bottom, I'm not complaining or anything but I think he's a great character and tournament worthy. I'm really good with him and find only a few cons about him, but I want to know what you guys think! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Olimar usr (talkcontribs) 09:28, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

I really like Olimar, on my rankings he's at number 6, though I will be making a change to that shortly that will likely have him drop down to 10. Dexington (talk) 15:44, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

I honestly think he's bad. Edge-guarding him is easy, unless he has a Purple Pikmin up front. Still, even if he does get a Purple Pikmin, it might take some time to put it up front. Don't get me wrong, I think Olimar is pretty good at holding his own when he's got Pikmin, but he only has six moves to use without them. I think this: when he has Pikmin, he's average. When he has no Pikmin, he's definitely bad. Just my opinion though. - GalaxiaD (talk) 22:24, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

I prefer to think of him, like many other characters, as a fighter to get used to. If you play as him you need to know the range, power, and knockback. You also need a good amount of luck when playing as him but overall i would say he is middle tier to one of the highest low tier characters.Cree318 (talk) 22:55, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

He's amazingly powerful for a fighter his size and weight. He only gets a few points marked off for that horrid recovery.SonicROBTrainer (talk) 00:41, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

I like Olimar as a character. He does need some getting used to, and his recovery is pretty awful, but I think this guy is at least a high middle-low character (blech.) But when it comes to multiplayer matches, I think he stinks. Heh.Maxiscool (talk) 23:06, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
