Flamethrower (かえんほうしゃ Kaen Hōsha?, Flamethrower) is Charizard's Neutral Special Move. Charizard breathes a continuous stream of fire.

Overview

It appears visually similar to Bowser's Fire Breath, but with smaller flames, longer range and more damage. It would appear that they have more priority over Bowser's, as they defeat Bowser's Fire Breath when faced upon one another because these flames come out faster. The stream of flames can be directed up or down by tilting the control stick in a particular direction. The flame dies down the longer the attack is used, but it will never stop, despite the flames becoming extremely small as long as the player keeps holding the B button. This move is fitting to Charizard and can be said to be its signature move.

Flamethrower is a good tool for spacing and edge-guarding; using it on the edge can prevent opponents from recovering and grabbing the edge and can cause them to fall and die.
