It appears visually similar to [[Bowser]]'s [[Fire Breath]], though with smaller flames, longer range and more damage. It would appear that they have more priority over Bowser's, as they defeat Bowser's Fire Breath when faced upon one another because these flames come out faster. The stream of flames can be directed up or down by tilting the control stick in a particular direction. The flame dies down the longer the attack is used, but it will never stop, despite the flames becoming extremely small as long as the player keeps holding the B button. This move is fitting to Charizard, and can be said to be its signature move.

Flamethrower (かえんほうしゃ Kaen Hōsha?, lit. "Flame Emission) is Charizard's Neutral Special Move in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Charizard shoots a continuous stream of fire.

Overview

It appears visually similar to Bowser's Fire Breath, though with smaller flames, longer range and more damage.

Customization

In SSB4 the move can be customized to Fire Fang or Fireball Cannon.

Fire Fang

Fire Fang starts off by blowing fire for an incredibly short distance for as long as you hold the button, and when you let go, Charizard will chomp down delivering serious knockback and damage to anyone in the vicinity.

Fireball Cannon

Fireball Cannon sends out three bursts of fire. These will move randomly forwards or diagonally downwards, bouncing off the ground if necessary. These bursts are fairly weak, but encompass a great distance, meaning that they can hit often.

Final Smash Fire Blast (of Triple Finish) Mega Evolution Fire Blast (of Triple Finish)

Origin

Flamethrower is a very common Fire-typed attack in the Pokémon games due to its 100% accuracy and 95 Base Power (even if the move lost 5 BP points when Generation VI rolled around). Its animation usually depicts it as appearing in one unbroken line of fire, similar to its properties in the Super Smash Bros. series. It is also Charizard's attack as a Poké Ball summon in the previous two Super Smash Bros. games.
