Flame Pillar (フレイムピラー) is the Mii Gunner's default Side Special Move. Mii Gunner launches a flaming shot downward. When it makes contact with the ground, a pillar of fire appears that hits opponents multiple times. The move is similar in function to Ness's PK Fire and Robin's Arcfire.

Overview

Strengths:

  • Good for disrupting frontal approaches
  • Fires at a downwards angle in the air
  • Edge-guarding tool

Weaknesses:

  • Has some starting lag
  • Not much range on it

Flame Pillar is a move for players that want a tool to keep closer-ranged opponents out of the way for a bit. Flame Pillar fires at a short range forwards, so it can't hit far-off opponents, but it can hit enemies that are dashing in for a frontal approach. It is fired at a more downwards angle when used in the air, making it good for aerial approaches. The projectile can also be fired on the edge of a stage to damage any recovering enemies that climb up. The move does have some starting lag, but overall it is a good move.

Trivia

  • This special is very similar to how the Flame Blast special weapon functioned in Mega Man 6, which is used differently in Mega Man's down smash in SSB4.
