Kapp'n is a recurring character in the Animal Crossing universe. He appears as a Trophy and Sticker in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U he appears as a Trophy. He also appears in the background of Smashville in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Tortimer Island in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and later becomes an Assist Trophy in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Trophy Description

A taxi driver in Animal Crossing: Wild World who drives the player into town for the first time. His questions determine the appearance of the player and sometimes come off as a bit rude. In the original Animal Crossing, you could travel to an island by boat. Kapp'n was the guide who ferried the player to that island and is remembered for his unique speech and salty songs.

Kapp’n

The Kapp'n trophy is exclusive to the 3DS version.

This turtle ferries you out to the tropical island. In the past he's been seen driving a taxi and a bus, and now he's the captain of a little boat. Or maybe he just wanted to sing his songs-it's only right to be sailing while singing sea shanties, after all!

Bus to the City

The Bus to the City trophy is exclusive to the Wii U version.

The bus that takes you into the city in Animal Crossing: City Folk. It's free 24/7 and driven by a certain someone you might recognize (you might have also seen him driving a boat or a taxi). Take the bus anytime to see places like the theatre and the art gallery, and try visiting at night to see some places that are usually closed.

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

As an Assist Trophy

When summoned from an Assist Trophy, Kapp’n will start driving in his bus. Any fighter who gets hit by the bus will get carried away with him in his bus and Kapp’n will drive past the blast lines, which instantly KOs the fighter by default. The fighter inside will have the animation of being grabbed. Kapp'n can carry only one fighter inside his bus. The bus and the fighter trapped in it are immune to all attacks. Unlike the beetle item, the bus's speed doesn't appear to be affected by the weight of the trapped character. He does not appear in nearly half of the game's stages – usually stages large in size and/or with high walls considered an obstruction and where the victims are more likely to escape unless they have at least 120% damage to render them impossible to do so.
