Edge Pivot Dash (also known as Edge Sliding) is a technique introduced in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U that was found by ZetassjHouse. The Edge Pivot Dash consists in the character sliding while doing his Neutral attack or Down Smash. As the name suggests, the technique is done by using the edge of a stage or platform to trigger the slide.
To do a Edge Pivot Dash, the character must dash, turn around right before touching the edge when doing one step back, and then use a normal attack. This results in the character sliding while doing the animation. This can be done in every platform (solid or fall-through) or edge of the stage. Some characters do not even need it at all and can do it normally.
