Donkey Kong (ドンキーコング, Donkey Kong) is a veteran fighter in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He was confirmed to return on June 12, 2018 during E3 2018. Donkey Kong remains relatively the same, although he now has updated facial expressions and a new Final Smash.

Changes from SSBWU/3DS

Attributes

• His new final smash replaces Konga Beat, he now throws a barrage of punches at his opponents in a similar fashion to Donkey Kong Jungle Beat.

Aerial Attacks

• Forward aerial is much faster.

Grabs and Throws

• New animation for forward throw, although it still functions the same.

Special Attacks

• New charging animation for Giant Punch.
  • Giant Punch no longer puts Donkey Kong into helpless state when used in the air.
