Crownerang is King K. Rool's Side Special. K. Rool takes his crown off of his head and tosses it forwards; the crown flies in a straight path forwards, and after travelling a set distance it will fly back to K. Rool. If the crown hits an opponent or K. Rool does not catch it when it flies back, it will fall to the ground, and can then be picked up as an item by any fighter. K. Rool is unable to use his side special again until he picks up the crown item.
